Probably not. There’s more to football than being really, really fast in a straight line.
People forget that Smith actually flashed ability here, scoring on kick returns and the like. CJ was never able to get loose and showed no balance or cutting ability. It wasn’t like Dawson didn’t try, but it’s obvious that CJ is limited in regards to his route tree.

I wish the young man well, but don’t be shocked if he’s a gadget player there.
he helped turn B Smith into the best rb in the conference. im afraid of how **** use CJs speed. he def isnt a kick returner though but our ST coach is quite possibly the worst in CFB so no one excels here except Andres

Brashard Smith actually was good. We all saw it. We saw flashes of it.

I never saw a single thing from CJJ. Zero wiggle, zero burst. It was weird because he’s track verified fast. Maybe the shoulder pads were too much weight.

Rooster showed way more than CJJ and he fizzled out at SMU.

I just dont think we knew how to use him well tbh. we dont have a creative offensive scheme. hes def not a kick returner though il give you that

Yeah it probably didn’t help that every time he was on the field everyone knew the ball was going to him.

But they did try and manufacture some plays for him. It just never really worked. Whether scheme or him not being able to make a guy miss. I just never really saw it with him once he got to college.

I feel the same way about Ray Ray. Sucks because I had high hopes for both when they signed.

This is spot on.

I hope not. He’s been advised to have Tommy John lol
Thanks. I was wondering how bad his elbow was. Sounds bad. I hereby retract my horrible take that if no other QB wants to come here and he does after the playoff, we should take him. Not want a QB with a broke throwing elbow.

He had that route out of the back against USF, the one Cam Ward under threw him. That's his Miami highlights. I wish him the best of luck and he should get some snaps at SMU
