It's easier to run the ball consistently from spread sets than it is by packing 20 guy's in the box and hoping for a crease. Most of the top rushing teams in college football these days do it out of spread sets.

Art Briles changed the game. He hung 600 yards rushing on the same UNC team that throttled us, and he did it with a 3rd string QB who couldn't throw the ball.

The simps in our fan base are stuck in Ann Arbor in the 1970s for some crazy reason.

This. The offensive improvement coincided with two main fundamental changes. The shift on offensive line and dumping a majority of the pro set offense in favor of more shotgun/spread sets.

Shotgun was for Kayaa's benefit, and may not have been a permanent change.

Shotgun was for everyone's benefit. They couldn't run the ball out of the pro set either. That had nothing to do with Kaaya.

Kayaa is part of "everyone". Snark aside, didn't you ever notice how much better he did from the shotgun throughout his career? Richt wanted to run plays from under center, but Kayaa always looked better when he could stand back and look at the field. Not sure if the drop gave him trouble, but he seemed less likely to panic when he was in the gun.

^Agree that Kaaya played much better out of the shotgun but the offense as a whole played much better when they ditched a lot of the two back stuff. The running game, which didn't exist for the entire month of October, took off when they switched up their scheme.

I dont understand how some of these kids can can afford to walk on @ Miami. One semester is at least 6 grand, almost double a state school.
Loans,grants in aid,scholarship,part time work or rebates.Common among SOME private schools is to tell the
student and/or recruit your normal cost per year is $50k per year,in your case $25k.
