Leader emerging for fullback spot

Somebody has to tell the Atlanta Falcons that the FB position is out of style.
It seems like theirs is always open for 20 yard gains due to all the other weapons they have.

The best offenses know how to utilize WRs, RBs (Including FBs), TEs and show teams various formations and looks.

And people love to bring up Richt's past at F$U and how he did his fast break stuff but he still had FB's like William Floyd a Zach Crockett pounding the guys off the line when need be.

Thx God---- someone gets it. Hate these ******** arm chair fans who think they know better than CR, Great Pretenders.

He went to Ravenscroft for HS, tuition is 23.4 per year. Sounds like his family has sufficient resources to cover college tuition.

Get this position all the way the **** out of my face. Anytime you bring a fullback on the field every DC in america smiles. I dont know why our fan base has essentially become the type of fans old UM ended up destroying while we ushered in a new era of college football. Now we are the relics as the game is essentially passing us by. We used to be innovators dammit!

Honestly this is an outdated postion in college football. Unless we have Herndon back there creating mismatches in the passing game and another athletic tight end on the field or receiver I would like to see less of this position on the field tbh

You saw the Atlanta Falcons play this year I gather?

Uhhh, do some you guys not get that Richt has specific plays in his offense where it makes perfect sense to have a FB?

It's about personnel, y'all are acting like we're going to have a FB in on every single down when that's clearly not the case.

Certain sets require a FB, that doesn't mean it's impossible to run other plays out of those sets, it's not all just run plays, there's plenty of passing plays where it can still be effective, but even on run plays in particular having an extra blocker isn't a bad thing at all.

Is he not supposed use a FB ever because y'all don't like it? It's Spring Ball, every position needs to be worked on & prepared for when practice intensifies in the Fall, I don't get where y'all are coming from on this one.

Right. Worked so well for us last year, right? As I said, if we have a QB who can consistently play under center, then I'm fine with using a FB. Otherwise, every time we line up that way, it will be obvious what we're doing.. As it was last season.

Clear as day I said in college football. Last time I checked I wasn't talking about the NFL so learn how to read first before you try to correct someone

I dont understand how some of these kids can can afford to walk on @ Miami. One semester is at least 6 grand, almost double a state school.

Prostitution. At 5k a night, a person can cover the costs rather quickly.

That's 2 months work for a girl on 8th street.

But one night for a girl on Ponce de Leon blvd.

**** yeah
UM, FIU students arrested in prostitution sting

Have to cut all ties now but those girls used to be at my house all the time haha, caught everyone by surprise with that

Severing ties would be a most unwise move sir.

Most unwise.

Anytime you can get a blocking FB as a walk-on, it's a win for the program. No scholarship used means there is no downside. I don't think anyone here would want to use scholarships for blocking backs.

It's outdated until someone see it as a mismatch and burns the opposing team with it...

It cant be too outdated, Bama winning with the i-formation as its base offense. You may have meant that its not a fulltime position anymore.
