When did Saban have a ****** record at Bama other than his first year? Doesn't exist. He's had double digit wins every single season after his first year. He had Bama ranked as high as #1 in the AP poll at one point in his second season there. He went undefeated with a NC in his third year. It's a fact that winning helps with recruiting.

Kirby is the perfect example. The guy had all the same opportunities as Richt, but ended up OBLITERATING Richt on the recruiting trail.

New York kids are tough so he will have that dog in him. I’ll take a look at Holley’s tape, I’m sure Simpson will do a solid job with him.

You guys are in denial. You completely ignore opportunity cost.

It's not that Simpson is a BAD recruiter, it's that he's not a GREAT one and loses 1v1 battles.

Look at Dugans. Look at how much more valuable he is as a GREAT recruiter over keeping a not bad, but average recruiter, in Kevin Beard.

It's night & day. I guarantee you there's a better recruiter out there that we could have hired other than Simpson and I bet that recruiter could have won against Bama.
