Tears Last Nerve III: Head to Head Against Deion (was Neon Deion Coaching Megathread)

But it's not. Do you think our record or offensive coordinator played any role in his decision? If that was the case, he'd be going to Bama. Instead you've got Coach Kardashian trying to make a splash. He won't be able to pull that off consistently at Colorado without success on the field.

Shouldn’t be and will be are used generally…so I used them generally.

Will be uphill for Colorado indicates future struggles or uphill battles. Which makes sense: they had 1 win last year, have been terrible for a very long time, have not really been a top dog like or popular location for any recruits in current times vs an Oregon, USC, Washington or even Utah… let’s see if their fancy coaching change helps them.. I don’t see him there that long…because he will improve from 1 win incrementally and move on to his next rodeo appearance at a different school…

If we shouldn’t have a problem, but do, that is on Miami.

Never seen so much hype for a coach who's basically a few years removed from high school coaching and has yet to win/develop ****.

Some people are acting like this MF'er is a god.

If you could go from HS to HBCU to P5, we’d be all for it…. until you steal our loafers

Colorado will be no joke in terms of NIL moving forward. The revenue and taxes they generate from legal marijuana will make them a serious contender for the foreseeable future.
Now this is true. He still should have went to Nebraska though

NJ has legal weed too, there are specifics on where that money goes. Lottery usually funds education.

Yep, it’s unbelievable. Wait until he goes 3-9 or 4-8 this year. The hype he gets is ridiculous and unwarranted.

How does tax revenue help a college's NIL deals?

Deion won last year at an HBCU... lets see him win at CU.

Lets see how he handles losing. Lets see who he blames. Lets see how he makes adjustments.

It would be diff if he walked into Alabama but he didnt he walked into CU and next season is going to be tough for him. Personally I think it all blows up in his face.
I think this year will be fine for him, even if they go 2-10.

Almost all coaches have a bump class going into Year 2. It's 2024 that he needs to show progress. If he goes 4-8 in 2024, then the wheels may start to come off.

I also want to add...

I seldom get pressed or upset about losing Central Florida kids. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They don't play anybody up there.
Kid probably hasn't had to cover a P5 level WR during his entire high school career.

Probably sounds like a combination of sour grapes and a South Florida bias, but I'm willing to bet that Damari Brown turns out better.

(still wanted him though)

I can recall when Denver legalized marijuana, they initially made so much money from the taxes they ended up having to funnel some back.

I reckon that because college coaches are state employees and much they are paid by the taxes. I'm figuring that some of that money finds its way into local business owners who happen to be Colorado alumni which is then funnelled to NIL deals.

Please don't go back and find the posts I made about Colorado making a bowl game next year. Then you'll really be onto me. Once you find out I have 8 toes, its over for me. doxxed.

You guys think people in Colorado are all getting rich because of weed? Nah that aint happening. The money spent on weed in Colorado would have just gone to something else in Colorado before weed was legal. Hacky Sacks and Phish Concert sales took the hit or something. Or the money went from your local dude to your local corp.

Florida brings in way more money then Colorado. They aint even a top 20 state.

He was at the school for 5 minutes before the article with Fletcher was published. Give him a whole year at CU before you start calling it a win for Mario.
Colorado is going to be a **** show
They are no threat except pulling a random kid who wants attention
Kids won't develop and people will see that fast.

It's a talking point for mid managers not a real threat
