Tears Last Nerve III: Head to Head Against Deion (was Neon Deion Coaching Megathread)

Congrats to 8 toes for finally being able to beat The U at something considering he was 0-4 against us while playing for the Criminoles. Cormani’s nickname during the entire UA week was “Toast” and people who were there said he was getting lit up which led him to proclaim he was dealing with an “injury”. With Damari, Stafford, Jackson, etc. I think we’ll be just fine without Cormani. I think that’s what frustrated me the most about this entire situation: Instead of signing day being a day of celebration and reflecting on all the outstanding recruits we did bring in, everyone wanted to focus on the one kid we didn’t. Deion realizes he needs to strike now while the iron’s hot because after they go 2-10 this year his sales pitch will fall on deaf ears.

Deion offered other guys that we landed too right? I'm to lazy right now to find each one.

But If thats the way you view recruiting then how about Brian Brohm bodying Deion for the 5 star 2024 LB Capers.

A 2-3 win season and a bunch of blowouts and Deion wont even have the luxury of a bump class.
Why do y'all still think recruiting is tied to winning? We just won five games and y'all using this argument still?

Y’all are worried about a recruit not going to a team with a sub .500 record that has yet to pull the plug on staff problems. Got it.

if rumors were true that the staff did not gel, were toxic and they are still here a recruit or two mean nothing. A CEO that would let the issues linger, or keep people in limbo is the problem. It makes since about the clock management problems when you see a CEO that cannot be decisive on fixing major problems.

mario is proving to be who I thought he was, and that is not a compliment

Third thread in a series of schools we thought were a recruiting joke, but folk aren't laughing anymore as they're serious competition.

Deon and the Buffs are the flavor of the day and we're now going head to head with them (and MSU) for a lot of recruits now. From what @Cribby has mentioned in other threads, the Colorado NIL is no joke (unlike UF and FSU) so its not just Deon recruiting with no money behind him.

Deon has irritated me for a long time. Didn't like his flash over substance at FSU

The old school Canes put him in place after they begged for Miami. Hoping Mario will do the same 30 years later.

Current score:

Deon: 2
Mario: 2

2022 Battles

  • Deon swoops in and steals Kevin Coleman from Mario at the last second

2023 Battles

  • Deon tried to flip Antoine Jackson and was sent packing
  • Deion tried to flip Mark Fletcher and failed.
  • Deon swoops in and flips 5* Cormani McClain from Miami.

2024 Battles

  • Justin Scott (both in Top 10)
  • KJ Bolden (both in Top 15)

Flavor of the day, when he finishes this season at 3-9 or worse, no one will give a ****. **** him and his ball tonguing followers on here.

Interesting the route Cormani went to "announce" his new commitment. The guy that posted that video is affiliated with 247 sports. IDK who the "interviewer" was but it was pretty cheesy.....

Kids talking about wanting to play for Deion because he'll develop them to be the best like he was lmaoooo foh. Where is the proof? At least Mario has shown he can develop OL to be 1st rounders. The lack of respect this kid and his mom showed DVD is pathetic.

Who has Deion put in the league? I honestly don't know because I haven't heard of any, so I will wait.....

Recruiting is a cut-throat business and you've got to put your guard up so you don't get hurt when rejection comes. Like trying to get yourself a girl, you pick yourself up and you move on to the next. Well, onto the next.

I leave with a quote for the late recruitment of McClain...

"...I wouldn't say that you a ho, just made a ho decision..."
J.Cole

Shouldn’t be but is = self induced
But it's not. Do you think our record or offensive coordinator played any role in his decision? If that was the case, he'd be going to Bama. Instead you've got Coach Kardashian trying to make a splash. He won't be able to pull that off consistently at Colorado without success on the field.
