Coleman actually has a highlight film of him making actual plays in actual games. Whereas Mark Pope caught like 12 passes his senior season. This kid is running wildcat plays right up the middle and catching the ball in traffic. Clearly not afraid of contact like Pope. Besides a similar size and speed, I don’t see any similarity otherwise

As much as it pains me to say it, Warrick was a problem at FSU. I would take a Warrick comp all day long.

When people start talking about Moss and Williams…. That also gets my attention.

4-star CB Jakailin Johnson who went to DeSmet signed with Oh St, 4-star DE Travion Ford who went to Lutheran North all & sgned with Mizzou all from the 2021 class.

Then in the 2020 class 4-star WR Teriyon “Mookie” Cooper from STL signed with Oh St, but then transferred to Mizzou, 4-star S/CB Antonio Johnson from East STL who signed with TAMU & was one of the highest graded DB’s in the SEC this season, 4-star WR Jordan Johnson who went to DeSmet signed with Notre Dame& 4-star DE Antonio Doyle from STL who went to Lutheran North signed with TAMU.

I could go back even further, but the area between STL MO & East STL IL just 10-15 minuted across the MLK bridge, but is jam packed with great talent. My Uncle Willie James moved there from Miami back in the early 90’s & has been there ever since, which is why I know about it & keep up with that area for prospects.

That’s just Football though, they arguably produce even better Basketball players too.

They actually produce hockey players as well.

Keith Tkachuk was my line mate for a bit growing up. He ended up in STL and the youth teams took off. Our summer team had two NHL players and 9-10 major D-1 players so Keith replicated the model.

Once you move more into the metro east you can find more football guys and hoopers

AJ Epenesa who was a 4/5 star recruit from edwardsville played at Iowa and was drafted in the second round

Not that he’d have been an all-America were he to have elite hands, but he’d have been able to be very productive. None of his problems were athletically related. He got Open a ton here. He also seemed scared of contact. He always went down easy. Same for Wiggins who just fell everytime a DB got near him.

O’Fallon, both Belleville East and West, Cahokia has athletes from time to time, Belleville Altoff had a beast running back in Jason Ford years ago. East Side has a couple 6’6+ 300lb+ junior 4 star offensive lineman for next year. Toriano Pride(Lutheran North transfer and a Clemson signee) won All Metro Defensive Player of the Year.

One thing I noticed in the Colrman recruitment visits section (although I don't know if these are "facts" or Facts), is it showed the final two visits as:

Oregon
Then
Most recently, us

That is a good sign in my book!
