How does one get a Pope comparison from this cat ? Lmao. Other than their games being completely different I see it.
I hate to use a nole as a comparison point but kinda feels like Peter Warrick with the short area quickness/acceleration ....
That's a MIGHTY generous placement there. It's a crazy world when a guy like Ivins, who would rank about 47th on this board in terms of football knowledge and evaluating skills makes a living doing it.
Now I don't knock the hustle, because he works at it, and more power to him. Just wild he gets to make a decent living off of it.
A better comp is still on our roster.. reminds me of Jacolby George
Ivins is a fringe hater IMO. Likes to break our news but always working in digs. How does one get a Pope comparison from this cat ? Lmao. Other than their games being completely different I see it.
I like that. Has some Brashard to his game tooA better comp is still on our roster.. reminds me of Jacolby George
Not even the hands as much as the fear. Pope was scared of contact. Every move he made was tentative on kick returns, every time the ball was passed to him he seemed to be more worried about getting hit than catching the ball. He had the skills, but not the mentality, to play.Mark Pope was everything you'd want in a college receiver, except he couldn't catch a cold. Which is a gigantic piece of the puzzle. But he got open **** near every play. If you drew me up Mark Pope but he had Restrepo or Rambo's hands, that is a **** good college receiver.
This. Pope had like 500 yards receiving his whole HS career.Pope barely caught passes at the HS level, and had zero idea how to play WR. Coleman is the opposite. Pope is a terrible comparison.
A less explosive, but more fluid/polished JT4 is a better comp imo
Yeah, I don’t see what he’s talking about. If I farted on Pope he’d probably go down because he's so little. I just don’t see it at this level. He had so much natural ability but he was a little clumsy too.
Not to knock him. I think he had a learning disability based on what ive heard
Even less so than PopeA better comp is still on our roster.. reminds me of Jacolby George

*Pope and his skip move that never worked *
Coleman looks much more natural in pads than Pope. Pope was wild running, athletic, but wild.
I also dont get the "Pope couldnt break tackles" part, even after this much time. He had plays with stiff arms where the defender grandma felt it. Like, took his soul.
He just has stone hands. Thats the problem.
Bruh he thought he had dudes fooled with that shiiitt. I don't think it ever workedLegit laughed out loud hard, too.
Hahaha. You got me on this one. I did one of those out loud chuckles while in my office alone. It’s funny cause it’s true
