What exactly do you tell the hundreds of recruits you’re looking to make an early impression on this weekend, when your “OC” is not there and “gone”.

Mario has some strange ways of handling things.

Same thing you tell them coming off a 5-7 season with embarrassing losses and still yielding a top 5-7 class.

If Dan Radakovich entered into a garbage contract with Gattis I’m losing confidence in him as an AD
Well in all fairness, nobody on this side of Ann Arbor, Michigan thought he would be bad enough to get ****canned in year 1. This dude was supposedly on his way to a Head Coaching gig. So it was a 2yr deal, that was probably better for him at the beginning of it, because nobody here thought this ship was heading towards an iceberg before year 1 was complete. **** we couldn’t even see a **** iceberg when he signed. Anyways glad it’s about to be over with, so we can get bacc to the job at hand. Hopefully Mario already has his next guy already on speed dial.

It's perfectly reasonable for us fans to be upset that this is dragging out so long, for whatever the reasons. Are there going to be any other coordinator firings for football reasons that happen later than this?

Why are you assuming it must be an unemployed candidate?

That wasn't my point. I'm not talking about who we eventually hire. I'm asking will there be another firing this late, or are we the only program operating at this timetable?

It's a strange process, and again, I can't blame anyone for being frustrated by it.

Counterpoint: Banner planes, billboards, even ads taken out in newspapers can motivate the "powers to be," to put a stop to a barrage of negative publicity by terminating the source of said negative publicity.

If it's piled on - incessantly - those who are most intolerant to negative publicity - will try to avoid ANY at all costs.

Not that I'm suggesting anything - it's way too early to go full ******, and the man must be given a fair opportunity to make good decisions and then perform.

But patience, is not everlasting.

I think Mario has this - but he must at all times remember exactly - EXACTLY - where he IS - what resources are LOCAL - and not try to imitate FORMER run, run, run - Nick Saban. Even Saban has been forced to abandon that BS.

Innovate! Don't just try to duplicate.
Was one of his good decisions to hire gattis ? Mario should have never been hired, if we had this kind if money to throw around im sure more proving name’s would have came up.

I’m not going to pass up hiring a man with Mullen’s resume and results because I think our HC can’t handle him. It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Maybe Mario needs a little ego to push back on his offensive demands.
That’s great!

Now it’s please enlighten us and all you informed guys shouting “we should hire Mullen” where in the actual fvckety fvcks has there been any stories or rumors of Dan Mullen interested or would listen to becoming an offensive coordinator???

In fact where the **** have you seen, and considering we are dealing with a bunch of ego maniacs with coaches, please tell us when have you seen a coach who worked his way up fro assistant to HC of the two SEC programs and now has a cushy studio gig at ESPN, decide “I am going to leave this not to become a HC again, no no no I am going ro leave this to become an OC” when has that ever hapoened???

And of course my favorite of the dumb dumbs on here, Mario is not alpha enough to handle Mullen or make that move. Holy Jeebus lying in you baby manger bunch of wannabe wapitos with that nonsense. I swear I bet all the comemierdas that use that “alpha” nonsense term are the same comepingas that grew up in Westchester or west of there and went to Coral Park or Braddock or Sunset and acted all tough and wapito as if they grew up in the hood, Malibus Most Wanted type ****. The comepingas that people from the hood laughed at

Recruiting for 2024 wrs still ways to go. I am sure he'll be gone in time to recruit next year's class.

Mario obviously sacrificing short term for long term. We have a lot of premature ejaculators posting on here.
Please, how does keeping Gattis around and not bringing in a new OC help in the long term? I’m not being sarcastic. I literally have no idea why a guy who’s definitely not coming back hasn’t been replaced yet. Or at least starting the process of replacing him.

Amazing isn't it? Mario must swallow his ego and hire this prick.

Exactly.

Because guys who have never coached football a day in their lives think he should be hired.

Hey, how about we say that Urban Meyer should be hired as our next OC, and if Mario doesn't do so, he is a failure and afraid of strong personalities...

I can make up **** too...

You mentioned what other coordinators would be fired at this point? Obviously that was part of the point for being upset this is being dragged out. That is an erroneous assumption.

And it's a strange process because apparently there are some unique factors in play holding things up. I am not blaming anyone for being frustrated nor am I critical of anyone being patient. It's out of our control regardless as fans.

One of the most rational paragraphs in a while.
