Scared Nervous GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants

ME.

Are you ok? We can send help.
You telling me he gone? Just not yet? But at some point..? But it’s 100% he gone.. and Miami gonna line up an OC to sit tight while Miami figure it out? And you believe that?
Can’t laugh much more to avoid crying

You’d think Mario, having all these studs on campus , would take this weekend to announce to all the offensive ones that he has rid himself of the most offensive OC we’ve ever had and introduce them to the new guy..

But this is Mario who is losing more and more respect among Cane fans every day having this guy hang on no matter what the excuse he will come up with is so who knows..

Just doesn’t make any sense to have him around (or not have an OC/offensive staff in place) for a big recruiting weekend.

He’s still not coming back but man…how long is it going to take?

It just fuels the fire and invites more skepticism than clarity. Ultimately, it’s his timeline and he doesn’t care what we think.

Just praying he makes the right hire after all this.

I have no insight on the situation. But to me this delay doesn’t feel as much as about a buyout as it does about who will pay what.

It’s a cat and mouse game. Gattis is owed money right? Right. Let’s say his contract is 100% guaranteed, this means if Miami fires him he would collect full payment… but if he were to get hired, Miami would pay the difference.

Realistically this has to be the ONLY issue. I don’t think it’s a matter of not having it, but more not wanting to pay an employee who was ****** at his job if they don’t have to.

If he didn’t care to get a new OC in place during the first transfer portal window, why should he care during a big recruiting weekend?

We just have to come to grips with Mario’s completely oblivious method of hiring staff

If he gets fired and still gets a new job, those new wages are subtracted from what we owe him. For example we owe him 1.8mil for next year. He gets a new job that pays him $1mil, we only owe him $800k.

Not sure how that works if he goes to the NFL though.
