TGNI personally believe Mario KNOWS who is is hiring for the job and has known for some time and will announce it within a short period after the Gattis nightmare is finally resolved.
I have no insight on the situation. But to me this delay doesn’t feel as much as about a buyout as it does about who will pay what.
It’s a cat and mouse game. Gattis is owed money right? Right. Let’s say his contract is 100% guaranteed, this means if Miami fires him he would collect full payment… but if he were to get hired, Miami would pay the difference.
Realistically this has to be the ONLY issue. I don’t think it’s a matter of not having it, but more not wanting to pay an employee who was ****** at his job if they don’t have to.
So... What's the next imaginary deadline for firing Gattis? Valentine's Day? Maybe St Patty's Day?
Somewhat ironic considering the reason that Hardbaugh is apparently in trouble is the lying/cover-up rather than just admitting the minor infractions Michigan committed.
Care to explain?Might be a couple of other options and angles here...
What exactly do you tell the hundreds of recruits you’re looking to make an early impression on this weekend, when your “OC” is not there and “gone”.
Mario has some strange ways of handling things.
No it’s not. Cause they’ve been saying the same thing for awhile and if it doesn’t happen in 30 minutes CIS still panics and pushes the same narrative of Gattis is staying.Well guess that’s that
I’ve ripped on him for how this has been handled but there’s a very legit reason for this dragging out like it has. What exactly do you tell the hundreds of recruits you’re looking to make an early impression on this weekend, when your “OC” is not there and “gone”.

A legit "not Mario being slow for slow's sake" reason?I’ve ripped on him for how this has been handled but there’s a very legit reason for this dragging out like it has.
Radakovich ... employee contract issue with the AD not with Mario.Mario is not handling this.
If Gattis isn’t fired or no longer here in the very near future I’ll ban myself for good. He will not be on staff going forward in 23.No it’s not. Correct.A legit "not Mario being slow for slow's sake" reason?
Again, Gattis is gone. Let the process play out.
**** Rad can go with him. Make Zo the ADRadakovich ... employee contract issue with the AD not with Mario.
I know nothing of fact with his contract, but I would bet a four pack of overhyped and overpriced hazy IPAs that the offset clause language was not tightly worded and there is an issue whether he needs to have a job at the time he is fired, within 6 months, etc and/or what constitutes a same or similar job (eg is a WR coach the same or similar to an OC who also is WR coach).Might be a couple of other options and angles here...
As annoying as Mario can be, sounds like this is more of a legal thing and probably somewhat out of his hands. What exactly do you tell the hundreds of recruits you’re looking to make an early impression on this weekend, when your “OC” is not there and “gone”.
