Tierney is super interesting.

Worked with Tom O’Brien at NC State…worked at Bama as an analyst…with Dorsey at Buffalo…with Daboll at NY.

He’s a workaholic (first guy in, last guy to leave) so mario will love that.

Keep an eye on this one.
I'm curious too but we must admit that would be a shot in the dark. At least to my knowledge.

The only "realistic" NFL guy that would be considered a home run by fans and public opinion is Brady, but I know that Mario doesn't care what we and the media think (rightfully) lol

Definitely seems like a CIS “setting up for a let down” type situation here…

Tierney treats those ‘Bama playbooks and manuals like the Holy Grail. He must model his philosophy on how to run an offense and program with what he learned at ‘Bama.

Sound familiar?

FWIW from Gaby’s story on Bryant’s visit.

“They said I would play in the slot and out wide and they want returning punts and kicks too. They want to showcase my ability as a playmaker and that’s exciting. I watched some film of the offense and I’m comfortable with the system and I think it’s a good all around fit.

so seems we have our offensive philosophy regardless of OC?

So these recruits can't process selling a change to a new exciting offense, and "we are still evaluating all our offensive staff at this time"?

Results speak for themselves. It’s hard to put myself into a 20 year olds mind but it seems contradictory to me that you’re telling me there’s going to be a new exciting offense but the OC is still being evaluated 6-7 weeks after the season when we don’t even have 6 minutes of offensive highlights to show.

I will say if it’s Tierney (only speculation at this point)…hey at least he’ll have experience running an offense without WRs.

Lot of misdirection in the running game, short, quick passes and they love their TEs

Our roster is good enough to get us to 9-3/10-2 and the ACC championship game.

Coaching is where we are deficient there.

Roster will need some major upgrades to get us over the hump of beating a Clemson in the ACCCG and then looking like we deserve to be on the field with top 5 programs regularly.

Our roster is not good enough to win 9-10 games right now. What makes you think that? A bunch of freshmen that will be highly inconsistent over the season, and some of the highly coveted ones might flame out? This roster does not look like a Top 25 team just yet. And as opposed to talent acquisition, coaches can be poached anytime. I have watched this team since 1986. Good sample size to know when we are good and ready.

The roster itself is 2 more classes away from being a Top 5 roster, IF most signees work out. Usually there is a 10-20% turnover rate for each class. Just because you land a 4 or 5 star HS player, does not guarantee they will play like a 4/5 star player in college. Too many names to list.

Mario knows what he is doing. And he has a lot of experienced people around like Highsmith. Let's not get carried away on our "I know better than them" attitude that CIS can get a boner on from time to time. We dont know ****.

Who y’all want boys?
Mullen, Briles, Monken, Ludwig, Ruggiero?
Briles probably going to TCU, unless you’re talking older Briles…last time I saw him was when I was studying abroad in Florence, Italy…dude was getting trashed at one of the American bars watching football. Think he was overseeing some football developmental program there.
