With an open checkbook and the money spent in year 1 Mario deserves every ounce of criticism

I know he’s not going anywhere but for Christ sake, I can’t think of a single OC he could hire that would erase the disaster that was his first 13 months

Come on. Dabo kept "dead weight" Brandon Streeter until he was ready to offer Garrett Riley.

But, sure, Mario is dragging his feet, while Dabo is just the model of efficiency.

THEY ARE DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. Keeping a dead-man-walking until they offer his replacement.

You mean it didn't take them 20 minutes to come to a deal with Riley?

Stop the excuses. He's an A+ recruiter, but his GameDay coaching, and putting together a staff are deplorable. I've bit my tongue long enough, but not anymore. And I don't give af what anyone on this site says. I've been around this program long enough to know he's royally ******** up.

Mario will officially **** this up (on the coaching side, I'm not addressing the impact on recruiting for now) if he hires a poor replacement, but not because he kept a coordinator on until he was ready to hire the replacement.

I understand why people are restless and angry, but Dabo just pulled the exact same move.

I don't believe that one bit. Dabo JUST Won the ACC Championship and told his underperforming OC to kick rocks after only one yr. Then hires Jeff Scott as a recruiting analyst. In the meantime, we go 5-7 and Gattis is still employed, with a mediocre staff at best as well. There is absolutely NO excuse whatsoever in what Mario is doing....None.

If Mario hires a new OC soon after Gattis is fired then great, but my only concern with Mario is the staff he puts together. I really hope my concerns are put to rest and Mario knocks it out of the park with the new hires.

What a sh*tshow this is looking like. Totally embarrassing. How tf can you be an exemplary recruiter, and absolutely have no idea how to put together a quality staff with unlimited funding??....Unfrigginbelievable.

Which OC is which?

Regardless of what Clemson did AS A TEAM (win the ACC), the passing game was horrendous. The Clemson passing game was Miami-like, even though they won twice as many games.

You can't say "but Gattis is still employed" when Brandon Streeter was ALSO still employed until a few hours ago.

Haven't spoken to any in regards to this issue except @Brooklyndee ....I know Tony Fitzpatrick was livid with Steeles Defensive coaching last yr per phone call.
