Even if he did… why would Riley chose Miami with a head coach who’s a moronic game manager and supposed strangler of offenses over Clemson, who’s had enormous offensive success under Dabo? Even if Miami made an offer they weren’t getting him.

Also hard to picture Mario signing off on that kind of offense. Like others have mentioned, the physicality aspect is in Mario’s DNA and those offenses are more finesse.

He’d be a clear upgrade over Gattis though.

Bad news bears, Beast. Mario has a 10 year deal that we are only like 400 days into out of 3,650. Mario won’t feel the heat you to adapt like you speak of until about 2027. We will all suffer together unless the Holy Spirit moves. Amen

Lashlee with the caliber of OL that Mario & Mirabal are bringing in would be a much different look. And Lashlee was very good here despite his run game flaws given the personnel cards he was dealt.

Riley with an eventually elite OL would be a f***ing cheat code of an OC.

I refuse to believe TVD would come back if Gattis was staying. But I just don’t understand why it takes this long. I get why Dabo would have waited in this case, Riley was in the national championship game.

My guess is he’s got someone lined up and it’s just a matter of waiting for them to be ready.

For the NFL though, you’re hiring a QB coach or something. A guy like Brian Johnson from the Eagles. But why would it be a big deal to announce that a little early?
