Yeah that tracks with my expectations. Cristobal drags his feet, all the top OCs get taken, he either 1) keeps Gattis 2) keeps Ponce or 3) hires Arroyo. After the fact, the beat reporters will try to curry favor and access by trying to paint Cristobal in the most favorable light by saying he tried to hire [insert top candidate] but the candidate chose a different job because of family reasons, etc.

Well, it happened too fast. Cristobal obviously didn't have time to get his ducks in a row and make an offer to Riley. Right now Cristobal's hiring misses are making Diaz look like Jimmy Johnson by comparison.
