We will fire our OC on 4/20
I've heard rumblings of 2/29 as the date Mario has chosen.
We will fire our OC on 4/20
FWIW Navarro said in his podcast that he expects some changes on the coaching staff (Duh)
Patience, patience, patience (his words)
Gave Gattis a 35% probability of being retained and also said that he heard from the TVD camp that he’s staying because he got reassured that next year's offense will be different.
Nothing groundbreaking, lots of hedging but better than nothing IMHO.
What does that even mean? He'll either be retained or he won't. How did he come up with "35% probability?"FWIW Navarro said in his podcast that he expects some changes on the coaching staff (Duh)

my two cents: they (the media) know nothing. What does that even mean? He'll either be retained or he won't. How did he come up with "35% probability?"
I'd just say this.
I'm fine with guys getting ****ed off from Days 60-90.
But crying like a little baby from Day 1 onward is not a good look, it's just not what you expect out of grown-*** adults.
But when was Day 1?
For some, that was Southern Miss, others A&M…others MTSU…. Etc etc…
Anyone that Day 1 wasn’t on or before the Virginia game may have CTE concerns…
He thinks he gets to decide when its ok to complain. Very much a female quality. But when was Day 1?

it was in-season truth telling is what it wasCut the crap.
Day 1 was November 27th. Everything else is in-season-whining.
Short of major personality conflicts, nobody fires a coordinator in-season because you are "losing games", particularly when the #1 QB, a major returning RB, a major returning WR, and half of the OL is injured.
UM enrollment starts on January 17th. Portal ENTRY closes on January 18th. The last day for UM enrollment is January 25th. AT MOST, we will get 2 HS/JC kids on February 1st, and at most one will be a WR.
Given the calendar, the coaching convention, and the coaching-change domino effect now that the college season is over, If anyone is still angry that Gattis has not moved on by January 25th, I won't say a single thing when they complain about it on this board.
so realistically anytime we need a coaching change (not a new hire but a firing), we have to wait until jan 25th lol? doesnt it sound a bit ridiculous?Cut the crap.

hes heard changes but like everyone else, they expected it to happen earlier (at least the formal firing). i also heard mario say that **** run what TVD likes preseason and we all saw what that meansWhat does that even mean? He'll either be retained or he won't. How did he come up with "35% probability?"
There are plenty of arguments to be made for it taking so long. Giving him time to find a landing spot, working behind the scenes for a new guy.so realistically anytime we need a coaching change (not a new hire but a firing), we have to wait until jan 25th lol? doesnt it sound a bit ridiculous?
while i agree, we know that isnt the case from history w mario. we thought the same last year but in the end he was turned down by othersThere are plenty of arguments to be made for it taking so long. Giving him time to find a landing spot, working behind the scenes for a new guy.
It sucks to be on this side of it waiting, but if he comes back with a home run, it'll be worth it.
same thing we all said last year (I was one of them)..There are plenty of arguments to be made for it taking so long. Giving him time to find a landing spot, working behind the scenes for a new guy.

Yup, but if he had hit on Dorsey, how awesome would that have been? Can't hit a home run if you don't swing.while i agree, we know that isnt the case from history w mario. we thought the same last year but in the end he was turned down by others
Happened yesterday. It’s not truly the offseason until someone recommends pep Hamilton for OC.
I don't think it will be worth it no matter who we sign. We essentially punted an entire recruiting window and transfer portal window. A competent OC/WR coach lands us at least 1 WR.There are plenty of arguments to be made for it taking so long. Giving him time to find a landing spot, working behind the scenes for a new guy.

Don't you dare question anything Mario does between Nov. 25th and Nov 24th.so realistically anytime we need a coaching change (not a new hire but a firing), we have to wait until jan 25th lol? doesnt it sound a bit ridiculous?
