John huggins talks about miami recruiting strategy.

"So I said 'This 3 star takes a backseat to nobody!' then I went to the place who had no 5 star commitments. "

Lol your a joke bro. Its an honest fkin assessment. Last cycle in the state of florida you could open your front door and 4 4*s would fallen in, thats how deep it was we still managed to end up with a project.at CB. If you look at this **** objectively you can see the flaw in our DB recruiting. There probably isnt a position group that misses on more 4 n 5* prospect than Miami at DB. Take off ur groupy glasses. Miami will have solid DBs but in reality we should be elite. The talent we missout on from our own backyard is baffling. How u dnt see that is mind boggling.
Just like we couldn’t survive after we missed on Burgess-****** a few years ago? Let’s see how our guys turn out versus how the SEC groupies like Pat Spermstain and the bag snatchers from last year turn out.

let me get this straight, we were keeping in contact, but not "enough" contact for Mr. I want to be in my feelings Huggins. This is bullshyt. Funny how Miami has been left at the altar (Reily Gibbons comes to mind) numerous times on a last minute offer. If you really wanted to go somewhere and they came through with an offer, you would give them a legit look. Then he has such intimate knowledge of Miami recruiting practices that he is able to determine there effort as second hand??? Please, fcking gayturds put him up to this **** to negatively recruit us. I can wait to play those fools next year!

Totally off subject bro; but what part of the South Side u from, my g? Was born there and raised there for a quick min b4 pushin to Cali.

Pretty eye opening if you ask me.
Jobe was always scared about his grades and getting into Miami. I remember before he went to CT Jobe with his Dad visited Miami for a plan to get him admitted. If people think Baga straight up out recruited Miami you're crazy. Coaches were trying at the end to convince him to stick it out but Jobe knew his grades at CT were trash

LOL at this lame twist of facts to support your argument. I’ve been as tough on Rumph for persistent recruiting failures, but to claim that guys as talented as Ivey, Frierson and Blades weren’t wins makes you look dopey.
I knw i look doper as ****, Rumph's major recruiting victory is gettin a BLADES family member to go to Miami. Smh i'm the dopey one? What a joke, be honest hindsight is 20/20 u feel foolish u made that comment lol

You ever hear of the family by the name of the Wilsons, or a TE by the name of Will Mallory, or a DB by the name of Hargreaves.

Feel stupid now?

Legacies nowadays, you have to fight for like regular recruits. Now step away from the tablet and slap your own face.

Ur right wat was i thinking family ties, relationships, and history has no influence or impact on a recruit lmao. Y are we favored with Neal, Mac, n MAR again?

To be real and u know I have to keep it G.........who the fuq is this kid?

I was thinking the same ****, who the Fuq is John Huggins and more importantly who the Fuq cares???

Staff was straight up with him from the jump then when things unfold as they told you they would and offer you, you’re going to bytch about their honesty?

Then you go to where the coach questions his current players mental capabilities to future recruits?? GTFOH, Enjoy turdsville

I don't see a problem with those comments. They weren't on him and when Jobe fell through, they reached out. He wasn't rude in what he said in the screenshot.

Either way, that's typical recruiting for any school.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Divaad Wilson that had conflicts with our class....unless it was both them. I know for sure Divaad had issues.
You're right. It was Divaad. I think Jeff Thomas got into it with Troutman but Thomas came at him at a 7 on 7 and didn't get the better part of it.

My question is when was the last time a Mainland kid chose Miami? They almost always go to UF and FSU. I think it's amazing we're landing guys from Duval. That never used to happen either.

Sorry this may be an unpopular opinion but good for the kid. Our "strategy" last year suked and while we chased PS2, TC, and Slobee we missed out on samuels, troutman, and this kid which are all quality players.

My brain hurts just thinking about the outcry if we'd have ignored those top guys. Yeah, we didn't get them, but it's some al golden sht to just concede them and take somebody else. I don't care if the guys you get are real good, you have to fight for whomever you think is the best. This will lead to some misses, but it's just not ok to not try.

I don't even look at the top two like losses either. It was an uphill battle from day one with the modern day champ Bama for Surtain. Then UGA had the perfect recruiting tool in hand when they made it to the championship at the very school Richt was at for a long time and fired from. I knew right then, when they made that game that we were out.

You absolutely have to pursue those two until the end and swing for the fence even though you're not a power hitter. It doesn't mean you're going to knock it out of the park right then, but one day you will.

Who the fk said not to recruit them? Especially PS2 n TC we should have had the inside track on all the AH kids but Rumph choked. You recruit the elite but u got to read the tea leaves if its not there its not there move on to other quality recruits dont scramble on NSD and leave urself reaching on project players. Its ok give it time you guys will all be on my side after a couple more cycles. Cj year one, PS2 TC Slobee year 2, Dent Steele Battle Stevenson(hopefully not) year 3, starting to accumulate L's.

Explain to us how, exactly, Rumph choked in PS2 and TC's recruitments? We all know the result, but please tell us precisely what he did wrong recruiting these kids that constitutes choking, your opinion.

Alternatively, I would suggest PS2 was NEVER coming here. He was $ec bound from the beginning, and the only reason UM even managed to get him here to take their shot was because of the relationship with Rumph. As for TC, we will likely never know for certain how that played out, but TC always spoke positively about Rumph. I am not certain there was more that could have been done from a recruiting standpoint.

Judas, besides being a Banda primary recruit, is not worth mentioning.

CJ acted a fool and Rumph did what a good coach is supposed to do and gave him some coaching. The kid was feeling himself too much and didn't want to hear it, which apparently caused the relationship to sour. I guess Rumph could have ignored the diva behavior for the sake of getting a commit, but that's not the type of man he is (and not the character of athlete he wants).

At the end of the day, Rumph's tenure will be judged by the results on the field. If these DBs ball out, his job is secure. If top local CBs continue to go elsewhere and the guys who do commit don't perform to standard, his job will be in peril just like any other coach.
