some people warned us about him a long time ago. For awhile there i chose not to believe it, and i wanted our staff to fight for him.

at this point though, AND after seeing what he's actually accomplished on the football field the last 2 years (show the tape), i'm completely fine with our staff cutting him loose and going after another player like divaad wilson.

our secondary class is still ELITE without him.

They’re not going after Divaad Wilson because he doesn’t have the skill set to play Safety...the backup plan is Keidron Smith and John Huggins. Now we know why both of those kids were going to games late in the year...the staff has known for a while

2) Frierson will probably move to safety if we get Surtain, other than that he’s staying put.

3) It’s pretty obvious the plan B has been in place for awhile and it doesn’t involve Divaad Wilson. Apparently you’re not smart enough to pick it up.

Writing is on the wall only way Frierson goes to saftey is if we get pat Surtain. Kerryon Smith is gonna end up being the guy and he might not be jobe but he is pretty **** good too.

Jobe is worse then Chris Henderson bc jobe has played Miami fans(coaches know what is going on) for a long time. Henderson going to Florida was not premeditated but he didn’t like getting disciplined for acting like a child so we somewhat pushed him there. What I don’t understand is jobe is supposed to be boys with bandy, Frierson, Ivey, has preached be 1000% committed why would you not just decomitt instead of disrespecting your friends and hometown like that? It’s looking like it is pretty set in stone he is not coming here anymore just the fakeness on the way out is what is gonna get him knocked on his *** in that 2021 game.

NO to Kerryon Smith. Go out and get another 5 star from out of state to replace Jobe, or if you whiff you whiff. Then grab an elite guy next year. Filling up the roster with "underrated" 3 stars is what got Golden in trouble.

That is exactly what is going on. You can see this coming from a mile away. He will flip on his Baga visit and then wont visit UM. Him not visiting with all of our other commits tells you all you need to know.

They need to hurry up and pull his offer and make it public. Chump *** front runner comes to UM and puts on the 26...peace.

If we replace Jobe with a 5* we are upgrading. Jobe is not a 5*, or even close, on any ranking site. The kid is really good, but you guys stay over hyping this clown. He's not even a consensus Top 100 player...

The difference between us and Alabama, Clemson, etc is that those programs recruit more star players, while we recruit a few and then pad our roster with "underrated South Florida guys" who don't usually turn out to be all that underrated.

This is the first recruiting class since the early 2000's to buck that trend. But losing Jobe is no bueno.

Pete really did a number on us here with hyping this kid up so much, and setting us up with the whole "he will play around on social media but I expect him in this class" BS.

I know that recruiting changes by the day, but a lot of us would have moved on already if wasn't for all his optimism and his insane hyping of this flake.

Still think Pete is the best in the business, but he hasn't even come on this thread b/c he knows the kid is gone.

Agreed. A lot of posters on this site have been saying for months that this kid is gone only to be condescendingly shot down and told they were wrong. I'm never mad about Pete being wrong, it's when the bull**** hype machine gets going and we are made to feel stupid even though all the evidence is to the contrary of what is being reported. The fact that it happens every year on this site with a prospect or two blows me away.

Can’t blame Pete for McFarland flipping at the last second because he wanted to stay home there is exstenuating circumstances and Pete doesn’t know Maryland kids. They have 40 players on their current roster who were 4/5 stars in high school. We have 25.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban stopped off to see four-star cornerback and Miami commit Josh Jobe on Tuesday. The Miami native is spending his senior year at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut.

"It was great," Jobe told BamaOnLine of Saban's visit. "We keep it real with each other."

Jobe has been committed to the Hurricanes for well over two years, but has kept his ears open to other programs, especially Alabama. He sees a prime opportunity in Tuscaloosa.

"My best opportunity at Bama is to start as a true freshman and be the best cornerback that ever came out of Bama," he said.

His last visit to the Capstone came last April. He visited again with the Tide coaching staff at a Florida International satellite camp in June.

"Being around the players and the coaches," Jobe said of his favorite part of UA.

Despite his pledge, Jobe says Alabama is recruiting him the hardest. He plans to be back in Tuscaloosa on Dec. 15 for his official visit, the only official visit he has planned.

"Just looking forward to seeing how the academic part of Alabama, not just football," he said.

The visit to the Capstone next weekend could be a pivotal point in the four-star corner's recruitment.

"I'll make my decision in December," Jobe said.

When asked how good of a chance Alabama has to flip him from his commitment to Miami?

"120 percent chance," Jobe said.

At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Jobe is rated the No. 13 cornerback and the No. 97 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

I don’t think you get it. We’re not recruiting three star guys dude. We have the #3 class in the nation, you’re having a bytch fit because we lost one guy and now have to replace him for a “lesser” player when these “lesser” players are how you build depth behind the 40 4/5 stars.
