Facts

And my pop off year was year 4. For me that was the year I got circled. We going to be fine I’m not even worried
Mine was year 3 but mario decided that qb wasn't really that important to recruit so ya lol I guess it's year 4 for me now too unless we land an absolute stud there out of the portal

My thing is real good qbs either go to teams set up front already or an x and o qb whisperer. I always say year one for Kirby didn’t land Lawrence. That kid saw Clemson saw them built and went there. QBs and skill guys are business like they come after the fronts are built. I wouldn’t go somewhere that the OL can’t block and there ain’t a beast running game to help. Eventually someone will change that position for us.

And how bad it was at UM it’s a complete wipe out of that “new Miami” bs and bring the old Miami back.

Someone catch me up lol. Sounds like we have some legit interest in a good portal QB and Smith is still considering us? Please let it be.

Nah lol.

He ain’t coming here. FSU is confident he’ll flip soon. Ohio St scoffs at these claims, just a back-and-forth on social media about it. We’ll see who’s right.

This is a very easy recruitment to read.

He loves Miami, always has. He very low key cheered on Miami at the FSU game last year. This was confirmed multiple times.

That said, he will go to Ohio State which has a proven production at his position. You don't gamble with your career. We've been an absolute mess offensively and haven't showed even close enough to give him confidence that this is a good place to go to.

Wonder what happens when/If Hartline leaves. He probably won't leave till after ESD.

100% you're right he embodies everything we're trying to be about & yes he is an unquestioned leader with his mentality. But we can't go into next season with the idea that him or Tyler WILL be the starting qb. We need someone that's a HIGH end reliable starter to come in next season so we don't sabotage another season. So long as we lock that in with any of 5 names that are floating around with us(three in particular)then we're gonna be a PROBLEM next season.
Iron sharpens iron.

Can't wait to see who we close with in the class and pursue in the portal.

I will say it was interesting to note a ton of Ohio St media outlets and fans trashing Coleman's performance against Miami. While their goal was to highlight he's the best FSU has and that pales in comparison to what the Suckeyes produce up north, they're undoubtedly feeling uneasy and nervous about it - to the point that they had to go on social media to project these feelings.

With that being said, I'd be surprised if he does ultimately flip (unless FSU throws an insane bag).
he gets 15k per visit at fsu.. they are throwing all the bags they have

Talk about adding insult to injury?!?! If Jeremiah Smith flips to FSU, that will really really be embarrassing! We have been working day and night the entire year to get Smith to flip to Miami. If FSU gets him then that will be very difficult to swallow.

FSU has been recruiting Smith just as long as we have. What are you talking about lol? You think they been ignoring the #1 WR in the state until last month?

Certainly not. That's my fault for not wording that correctly. I know all the big programs have been recruiting JS since the beginning but what I should have said is that Smith has been to Miami many many times since being committed to OSU and the fact that JS is known to be a Miami fan who has been looking for us to give him a reason to come here. Yes the noles have been recruiting him but they haven't been in the picture in terms of having a good shot at him until recently.

that's because Norvell and the FSU players gave off the impression that Miami would be way outmatched and they'd blow us out by 3+ TDs... instead the recruits saw a young team with a bunch of freshman playing including a true freshman quarterback and a boring offense outgain a playoff contender veteran team and have a chance to tie tie it at the end of the game...
And also get robbed over and over by the Zebras

I think it would be embarrassing for a different set of reasons. Landing Blount and Smith would mean they’ve come into our backyard and landed two of the top players in Dade. Would be unacceptable under pretty much any Miami coach, but especially an alleged recruiting savant like Mario imo… that’s just my opinion.

Let’s just hope Ohio St holds on, as gross as that was to type.

I don't disagree with any of that
