You guys really gotta stop with thinking each and every problem we see on the field is the result of coaching ALONE... An OC is HUGELY hampered when your QB can't be counted on for the most basic parts of his job... You can't just call whatever knowing it's not likely to work.
Safe to say Mario prefers to run it back with Dawson, except under a QB currently on a different team?

:: Deep sigh ::
Why do fans take one game and do this overgeneralization deal when they want to spin, just relax lol. We of all fanbases should know it doesn’t work like that. Perhaps he should be looking at and impressed by our consistently impressive offense instead? Lol

Their offense wasn’t impressive Saturday, but that is just one game and unfortunately recruits typically don’t make their decision based off of one game. Unfortunately FSU still has a top 15 scoring O despite the “dud” they layed Saturday and unfortunately they can sell being on track to make a CFP appearance while statistically having one of the most explosive offenses in America. Unfortunately, we can’t do the same and likely never will be able to under this regime.
Right... if it worked this way then GT should be able to get any recruit they want from us b/c they beat us this year and no recruit that was considering FSU and Miami last year should of picked Miami considering they drubbed us.

100% you're right he embodies everything we're trying to be about & yes he is an unquestioned leader with his mentality. But we can't go into next season with the idea that him or Tyler WILL be the starting qb. We need someone that's a HIGH end reliable starter to come in next season so we don't sabotage another season. So long as we lock that in with any of 5 names that are floating around with us(three in particular)then we're gonna be a PROBLEM next season.

Doesnt it tire you to keep using logic with porsters? Dont you feel like Spock being marooned in an insane asylum?

I don't see why not right? We were crowning him and hoping he wouldn't get stolen when TVD was playing well.
Personally in the camp that the issue is way bigger than QB, but it's like talking to a brick wall with that so might as well let the process drag out into next season and re-evaluate (even though our schedule is charmin soft in '24).

But, I fear that the alternative of losing Dawson would be bad mainly for the portal class. Mario doesn't exactly operate on an expedited timeline. This portal class in '24 is the most important class for Mario in his entire tenure thus far. We cannot afford to have uncertainty at OC when it is imperative to bring in a dynamite QB and possibly a few other pieces on offense. Dragging out another coordinator hire means missing out on key targets.

This would also apply to DC should Guidry end up being poached (which I hope not, money shouldn't be an obstacle in terms of keeping him, and the only team I'd bend the knee in regards to losing him would be a hometown reunion with LSU). I'd like to think Mario has thought this out and has options ready to roll IF we lose one or both coordinators.

That's why I think I prefer to keep both, despite evidence suggesting there's been a shift in offensive formations and scheming since conference play began.

Soooo Jeremiah......

My post was tongue in cheek at the current narrative of Dawson leaving and Dorsey coming here.

I will say it was interesting to note a ton of Ohio St media outlets and fans trashing Coleman's performance against Miami. While their goal was to highlight he's the best FSU has and that pales in comparison to what the Suckeyes produce up north, they're undoubtedly feeling uneasy and nervous about it - to the point that they had to go on social media to project these feelings.

With that being said, I'd be surprised if he does ultimately flip (unless FSU throws an insane bag).

That's really all it takes hermano. I understand we all want the light to simply switch on and people to scream from the roof "WE'RE BACK". But we'll be back when we have leaders and legit competition at each and every position. When we can build our depth & have accountability. One hundred percent inside the program we see that path ahead. It's the fanbase who can't quite fathom it. Luckily that's just on them. We gonna do what we gotta do regardless.
