Jayden Maiava to UGA now to USC

Anybody with a 247 account checked in on what the USC board is saying about this?
Not 247 but if he’s not in today he never entered. Inside the agent world he was likely entering a couple days ago with eyes on Miami. I hinted at this guy earlier in the week being somebody that’s a huge upgrade over what we currently have ( not saying a lot ) with multiple years of eligibility.

Correct

Kinda turnover prone, and a far cry from Ward but has arm talent and is mobile. But he's not horrible at all.
High risk and high reward. This is a qb friendly offense but ole boy went a little insane with picks this year. He was pretty **** good as a true Fr at Unlv.

If we cant get him, would it be wise to wait until the spring?

So with the Maiava bit being dead, looking at the bowl game schedule and potential portal options possibilities…we are pretty much cooked right?
I refuse to believe the opportunity to bring Ewers here is dead until Jan 27 (5 days after the NC game + 2 administrative days to get him in the portal).

Mario will just have to pay the suck tax at this point.

I am no qB guru but I fully expected milroe to have a way worse draft grade than he currently does, as I was hoping we'd get him.

that leaves beck / ewers or riding with emory/nickel

Is it? Every kid is looking for a starting spot and a bag and it's musical chairs all over. The number of 1st year players in the portal seems staggering. Long gone are the days you could stash QBs and hope someone rises to the top. Unless you're paying big money to keep them on the roster, which seem folks likely don't want to do.
imo yes absolutely. Take a look at Texas, they have two qbs they recruited and are in the final four. penn state has a qb they recruited. Apparently it's big money to keep qb's that you recruit or snag from the portal. What are the numbers being thrown around for the duke qb? Ewers? I'm just saying you can't ignore recruiting like there will always be a playoff caliber qb you can get in the portal.

I mean I get it but why are they allowing themselves to be put in this position yearly. I know it's not the same position yearly but still lol
I think they misevaluated the transfer market like most of us.

There won’t always be program changing QBs available every offseason

There was one really good one and Oklahoma hired his whole staff to get him

Doesn’t make it any more of a miss by the staff just think that’s what happened
