James Coley better get it together. Use your playmakers!!!

A QB like price who Dosent kill drives and completes dink dunk passes for 5-7 yes at a time would be great

lol so you want Price over Stephen Morris, hilarious.

Price did throw that interception on the last drive right? smh

Coley is not lighting the world on fire, but he's doing pretty well considering he basically has to work around an underperforming qb.

passing is only 1 part of the offense..... if Coley wasnt calling running plays like he's been consistent at doing all year, then you all would be complaining about that?

morris cant complete an easy pass. he makes horrible reads. coley is being restricted because morris is a dummy.

Need someone to confirm if Miami still has TE's. Really wish that Coley got them more involved, or just attacked the seams of the field more. Have to make the D accountable for the full field, not just deep and sidelines.

When RW is in the tight end is used plenty...it's Morris.

Need a QB to get them the ball. Ours is a dripping sack of llama stool.
that same QB and Fisch had a a field day putting up points and racking up yards... Dont like the offense play calling and some of our route combinations are doo doo

See Im not buying that. So what, Fisch was such an amazing genius and the minute he left, Coley has totally wrecked Morris? Morris is a SENIOR QB with a bunch of starts, so Coley has taught him NOT to go through his progressions, has messed up all his footwork, taught him to panic in the pocket and starting running around when he doesnt have to, and taught him to throw off his back foot as he's moving back?

I dont buy it. Im not saying Im sold on Coley, but Im not buying that Morris' implosion this season is because of Coley, rather the opposite, I think its Morris' implosion that has really limited what Coley can do.

morris was horrible last year against top 25 times. Lets stop this. Everyone says injury. he wasnt good against florida atlantic or florida

Not sure how you can pin not throwing over the middle on Coley....Morris is terrified to go over the middle. Won't even try it. I was amazed we threw that one to Hurns.

Coley is handcuffed by Morris....it's terrible. Morris completed 60% today, but he left points all over the field. One play in particular in the 4th quarter we went play action and brought Walford across like he was pulling and then Morris rolled in that direction and throws a 4 yd pass to him. The thing is, 15 yards behind Walford directly in Morris field of vision was Coley streaking with a 4 yard lead on the coverage and nobody in front of him. It was a touchdown. So sure, he hits Walford and gets a completion, but he missed the TD.

Tell me again how he won't try to throw over the middle of the field when we have no WR routes that run over the middle of the field.

The entire first half, we had 4 passing plays where a wide receiver (coming from the outside or the slot) ran any form of inside route in intermediate 5-10 yard range (ins, slants, drags, hitchs, crosses, etc). This is not the plays we actually threw to the middle, this is juts straight up routes. I specifically was watching for this today to see if this was a Morris not making the read, or Coley not calling the play. I even went back to look at plays in case I missed it. Coley does not like play calls in the middle of the field.

3rd quarter still avoided it. I think we might have ran 2-3 plays where a guy was running into the middle of the field. 4th quarter, we started using it more and we were able to move the ball. 1 big play to hurns for about 15 yards (a little deep, but he was moving toward the middle) and another to walford I believe.

Morris did not have a bad game today. He was not great. He had about 4 plays where he completely overthrew his guy, but he did not turn the ball over. He made completions and he helped sustain a few drives.

You don't have to buy it... there's clear as day proof of Morris putting up numbers with Fisch... our offense looks nothing like that.

Wait...wut? Did I miss something? I thought we won?

LOL at this thread. Mods should change the title to: "Official dumbarse thread for moping; fire all the coaches on a 7-0 team"

I dont think anyone is defending Morris throwing off his backfoot or any of the mental issues. The problem is the mechanical issues Morris has now are the same ones he had last year and he did fine. There are 2 things I put on Coley at this point. 1. He refuses to call routes in the middle of the field. 2. When we do run routes to the middle, I don't believe the mid field routes are early in the progression. If Morris is as poor at reading his progression as everyone believes, I think Coley needs his progressions to suit Morris's ability.

Morris takes too long to execute a play and find a receiver. We need the TE and WR's getting slants to move the passing game against F$U.

Calling identical run plays over and over again aint going to cut it. Maybe he can watch some tape from us last year where we threw it all over the field. You have playmakers! USE THEM!

I'm really disappointed in the passing offense this year.

I told yall, Coley is ******' terrible. His concepts suck. We threw ONE pass in the in the middle of the field today. We "high lowed" the LB. Ran a curl in front of him and when he stepped up to cover it we threw a dig behind his head. Simple ******' concept and an easy throw. I don't wanna hear this bull**** about us being scared to throw in the middle with Morris. There's plenty of easy throws in the middle of the field. If you can only run a portion of your playbook because your QB can't be trusted THEN HE SHOULDN'T BE YOUR QB.

The guy is ******' awful. His whole passing game is verticals and out-routes/hitches. We don't utilize the "bubble-slant" concept. We don't utilize the "smash" concept. We don't utilize the "flood concept". Atleast twice in the game we ran the SAME PLAY TWICE IN A ROW!

And we ran that stupid *** reverse again!!!! That **** was snuffed out. Stacy Coley made that play all by himself.

How can anybody in their right mind watch UNC or Wake's offense and then look at our's and say we're not poorly coached? Gotta be naive.

Not sure if serious. Do u actually watch these games?

Not being an *** to you but I see guys open all game long and Morris just doesn't execute properly. The tight ends run free whenever they go out for a pass and I saw one check down to a rb all game long. ( to Hagens)
