Getting real old
We were told Jai Lucas was soooo essential to Dukes defense….
You decided weeks ago that Lucas was a bad hire and was destined to fail. If an actual fan of the program and alumnus of the university, who also happens to know more about the game than you do is also (objectively) wanting to see this all through before passing judgement - and that is still ****ing you off- you clearly need to be doing something more productive with your time.Yes, your knee-jerk defenses of Jai Lucas have gotten really old really quickly.
Again, he has ZERO track record as a head coach. You have NOTHING to say to address that.
But you're going to sneer at anyone who has a viewpoint different from yours, and act like we are not fans or we are uninformed, or some other bull**** defensive move to try to discredit the valid concerns among alums and fans.
Again, the failure rate of first-time head coaches in P4 is massive. But you want to stick your head in the sand and keep repeating how "Jai will be different, Jai will be different".
I can't root against my alma mater. But you and your dopey pal cookies are making a VERY COMPELLING case for people to root for Jai to fail.
Do you think he controlled them like a video game?
This will be a fun comment to revisit a year from now.Texas hired Sean Miller. We aren’t a serious athletic department and it breaks my heart. Makes me wonder why I should continue to care, I care more than the actual decision makers. Our fanbase is fine with this crap, as long as the football program is good.
Maybe, but odds are, it won’t be. I’m curious as to why any of us should be excited about an obviously halfassed coaching search, where our conference brethren made significantly better hires. Among the P4 jobs that have been filled, we are firmly in the bottom half of hires. That’s unacceptable. This will be a fun comment to revisit a year from now.

Except the national media/those that actually follow the sport disagree with you completelyMaybe, but odds are, it won’t be. How many times are the Lucas slurpers going to respond with that in this thread? This will be a fun comment to revisit a year from now.
I was mocking themHow many times are the Lucas slurpers going to respond with that in this thread?
Please enlighten me as I’m open to changing my opinion. WHY do you (or any of his other strict supporters like @cookies ) believe this was a good hire? Or one of the best hires we could possibly make? I’m seriously still trying to figure that out. Is it the “elite recruiter” angle? The “family bloodlines”?
Ah, my bad. My questions remain (not pointed at you, but aimed at the Lucas slurpers).I was mocking them
