Rad didn’t hire Jai and didn’t set the budget.

But man… Omier left because we didn’t have enough to pay him 1mm and fill the rest of the roster.

Kidd was a big we could afford. The whole roster was trying to fit pieces into the budget.

Imagine a team where the starters were each 1mm+ NIL guys. We didn’t have a single one.

It would have been nice to see what L could do with 8mm in NIL.

Not sure where I "claimed you were a stan of our AD". I don't think anyone is. On the other hand, you're a stan of Jai Lucas's, and you are acting as if Radakovich's process yielded a great hire, so that's on you.

And look at you with your lies. "I didn't post until Lucas got the job". And then in the next paragraph "I expressed approval of Chris Quinn being a finalist". You can't even lie very well..

No one knew Quinn was a finalist until Jai got the job.

Quinn would’ve been an exciting, outside the box hire. I like that final 3 a lot.

2. He is well-respected. Acknowledged. So too were MANY other candidates, he doesn't have a monopoly on that trait.
3. He has the personal experience of transferring himself. OK. But with the level of Portal activity, I don't think this is a big deal AT ALL.
4. He's a former McDonald's All American who can relate to future McDonald's All Americans. Uhhh, sure. They can bond over Big Macs. Somehow, plenty of coaches who were NOT McDonald's All Americans have managed to sign McDonald's All Americans without "relating to them".
5. His experience as an assistant at three schools. For the millionth time, he could have been an assistant at THIRTY schools, he is still a first-time head coach.
6. He's hungry for success. Good for him. Nobody else, ever, has been hungry for success...
7. Finally, you make a straw man argument about running NASA while being an astronaut at the same time. Just ridiculous. What is this "same time" crap? You STILL want the head of NASA to have relevant experience that qualifies him. More importantly, there are no "minor leagues" of space administrations where one can gain experience PRIOR to heading up NASA. If that was true, you would probably PREFER that the head of NASA got the job without gaining any similar experience.

The job of basketball head coach carries numerous responsibilities that go above and beyond the responsibilities of being an assistant coach. There are decades of results indicating that head coaches at top programs (currently "P4") enjoy higher rates of success than "first time head coaches". It's a true statistic, regardless of trying to yap about "NASA".

If the AD is told that he isn't going to be allowed to make hires, most people with pride would find a way to move on. There's no way that Rad, who is well respected in the industry would tolerate not being allowed to do his job. Why would he leave Clemson to be a placeholder?

1. Stop lying. You posted about liking Chris Quinn on February 24th and he was mentioned as a top candidate in early February. Jai Lucas wasn't named coach until March 5th. Just stop it with the semantics. There were no "finalists", nobody was interviewed except for Lucas. But there were several top candidates. Quinn was one. You knew that. You posted about him and other names well before Lucas got the job. So stop lying about how "I didn't post until Lucas got the job". That's not true. You posted for weeks before Lucas got the job.

2. As for the Radakovich comments, you are truly grasping at straws. First of all, one of them was a pure joke, a direct mockery of "What if I told you...". And I jokingly said you were Rad's SON, not his "stan". Clearly, the joke went over your head, as you aren't smart enough to realize what is going on. Another of my Radakovich comments doesn't even reference you, but you are using it as an "Exhibit" of something you imagined. And finally, you've got ONE post where I say that you are being a "Radakovich suck-***" when you repeatedly defended his rumored future hiring of Jai Lucas. Is this you?
