Lack of performance on defense wasn't so sudden, we weren't good all year long, we were fortunate to be 10-2. You're only as good as your weakest link.

Best two teams in the ACC played last night, one built through recruiting one through heavy emphasis on the portal. The physicality was through the roof. Concerns before this game was with development, add now evaluation of talent, SMU had 11 x UM players and some were all ACC. Wonder if we have the right folks in place

What’s scary is the moment Richard got injured our secondary really fell apart. Our CB play was at least average before his injury. If we would have had him and Brown the whole year we may have been average.

I know his PFF grade wasn’t often that great. He was serviceable though. Daryl Porter isn’t a P5 CB.

Funny how not a single one of those guys are a corner or safety.. even the ones that transfer out aren't good enough to play.
