Is the ACC finished?

Hypothetical…

ACC Team: offers a player on B2 team guaranteed $2mm/year with incentives, let’s say up to $4mm

Current B2 Team: tells kid you get $500k, no more, and you’re not guaranteed anything beyond that

Kid sticks with his team to play in the B2 conference.

How long until something like that happens?

*** is 0-4 in bowl games right now
ACC. Is 0-4 right now. Not good. But tomorrow, Syracuse and Georgia Tech are favored. This is our best chance to look respectful before the Canes take the field in Orlando. After that UNC, BC, NC State, Louisville, Duke and VT all have winnable games.

Hopefully, the ACC goes our respectable because the start this bowl season has been pathetic and shameful

Will be a one bid conference for the foreseeable future, similar to the Big12

1 ACC
1 Big 12
Highest non P4
N Dame occasionally
Rest form Sec & Big 10
Well once it truly goes to the 2 conferences it’s basically the NFL and college will be just as boring. Thanks Sankey sometimes chasing dollars doesn’t make sense

The two ACC teams one-and-done in the CFP by a combined six touchdowns against opponents that didn't win their conferences.

Upcoming $20M to $30M — and growing — media rights and CFP rev share gap behind both the SEC and Big Ten.

Ain't no coming back from all this
Didn't read but Lord I hope so!

I think so. I suggest you all enjoy whatever remnants of CFB (and CBB) you can before it is gone. College sports, as we know it, is dead. This harsh reality is reinforced upon us daily. Coach L is the latest example. It should be obvious that I loathe the trajectory of "collegiate" sports. Greed has, and will continue to ruin it.

Despite my feelings, I recently picked up season tickets to see the Canes next year; I also hold season tickets for St. John's. I will enjoy whatever I can before it's over, and encourage you to do the same. Hopefully I am wrong, but won't chance it.

Hypothetically… are we talking B10 or SEC? Surprised to see such a relatively low number for a starter

Grew up a fan of the Johnnies as a kid on LI in the the 70s with Lou Carnesecca. Last got to see them live in 2019 at the NCAA First Four with Mullin as HC.

If anything, we need to win our bowl game convincingly. Establish to the TV crowd that Miami is still a winning brand. To me this is the next step for us. In a way, not being in the playoff was a gift. We have a better chance of looking like a powerhouse on 12/28. Just hope Cam shows out. That excitement will give us the momentum into next year. Miami got great viewership….top 10 rating and the Cal vs Miami game was one of the top ESPN games.

Watching them play tomorrow evening in Queens. Tune in. 12-2 on the season, 2-0 in Big East play. Should put up enough points to have the underclassmen get good minutes. This team is better than last season's and should make a run in the tourney if clicking on al cylinders.
