Is everyone off of Morris' jock yet?

I thought the biggest problem tonight was once a QB gets out of a rhythm, it then becomes the playcaller's job to get him back in a rhythm. Once Stephen was out of sync tonight, Fisch didn't alter his playcalling at all. He needed to do more easy quick passes to get Stephen feeling good again.

Morris dodnt take a single snap in the offseason until fall camp. He needed that time with Fisch to learn. Last year he wasnt with first team O, J12 was getting that. He may not be on it now, but show me a guy that can make that throw at the end of NCSt game. He has the tools, needs more time and coaching, as well as consistent play calling and a run game would def help.

but he did give him short throws. he called a few screens and bubble routes and they were in the dirt or 5 yards ahead. and the other times that short routes were wide open, he still chucked it deep.

Not defending Morris because he sucked tonight too, but the O-line was hot stinking garbage tonight. Several times they rushed 3 and had immediate pressure on Morris. No running game whatsoever for 3.5 qtrs outside of Duke lag jaunt. Entire offense was bad.

nope, still a morris fan. Play calling must get better tho, Fisch trying to do too much

Morris missed a lot of passes tonight. Fisch can't throw it for him.

But Fisch is supposed to coach him through his progressions.

Fisch isnt very good, and neither is Morris.

I am undecided on Fisch as an OC, but as a QB coach, I doubt he would be one in the pros, but not be good enough for Miami. And... god **** I love your avatar.

There was that swing pass to Duke Johnson that Morris rocketed at his knees.

he was a qb coach for the seahawks before he came here. you can't expect a chef to make good food when his main ingredient is sh*t.

I'm riding with Morris.. Dude isn't perfect, but 0 picks counts for something.

No....there wasn't pressure. Morris created his own pressure by flushing out of the pocket when it wasn't necessary........dudes a puzz.

Just about every single down, the running back sneakin into the flat is open for an easy 5-7 yard gain, and Morris never checks down to it, he has a knack for running into sacks instead of stepping up and finding an easy lane to make the LB's make hard decisions. On top of that, he has zero touch on his short throws. Heck of an athlete, rocket for an arm, but a long way to go.

Morris is just inconsistent.

Looked like fire in the first half. Checking down.

Second half? Not so much.

i'd rather him complete 70% of his passes with 1 pick than under 50% with none. he's already a drive killer when he doesn't throw interceptions.

This pretty much sums it up.

He TURRIBLE! No accuracy, no touch on the ball. He just try's to throw a bullet every time.

It seemed to me like that was too little too late. By the 2nd or 3rd drive of the 2nd half he should have been calling those throws, by the time he actually called the short passes Morris was so out of sync it didn't seem to matter. And look I'm by no means defending Morris, he was not very good tonight at all, but I certainly do not think his playcaller put him in the best possible position to succeed.

I said this in the WEZ- Morris looks like a guy who falls further behind the speed of the game the more he experiences. His mind is having serious issues processing all of the stimuli in rapid succession. He's regressing at an alarming clip.

When your OC can coach up a broken-down Jacory Harris, but can't coach up a fully functional physical specimen who keeps making the same mistakes, it's a talent issue. Morris isn't that good.

Hopefully Morris can figure some of this out during the offseason. It will be nice to actually have him participate in spring practice.

Guy has no pocket presence and happy feet which is why he excels when throwing on the run. Then he has absolutely 0 touch on his passes.

This plus not having good te's. their is a reason Kevin Olson basically said he could beat them all out.
