Is everyone off of Morris' jock yet?

DB305,

We spoke about comparing the kids several times and this post above proves my point on you being UNABLE to come to set of rules or way to measure the comparison. We get it, the comparison won't be perfect...I said this years ago on eliminating variables to compare them (injures, games played etc.). There are always variables in the mix....HENCE compare the Junior year on an average basis.

Guess what, at the end of the year compare them on an average basis of their junior years. At this point both players were 3 years in the program and the full time starter. Compare them on an average basis at the end of the year.

I just hope if we get to a bowl game (self impose or whatever) that Morris plays better than Harris did against ND.

We will just have to agree to disagree.

eliminating 1/4 of a sample is not a variable. a variable would be the weather, how many receivers dropped passes, how he was feeling that day, etc. a variable has an effect on the sample, but does not eliminate significant portions of the sample. a variable changes small things: yardage, completions, touchdowns not whether or not he even stepped foot on the field. that is how statistics work.

i really do hope morris plays better because i'm sick of losing. if he comes out and is a flat out stud next year, i'll give him all the praise in the world. he just doesn't deserve it at this point.

but yeah, i'll put it to rest. we've both made our points and aren't going to convince each other of anything.

Play hurt or injuries (i.e. missing games) are variables, I tried to eliminate them by comparing averages. But whatever.

Agree to disagree, hate losing too we will see in due time.
