2025 Iose Epenesa 5* Edge from IL

Best story was after Iowa beat Penn State ( the Brad Banks team) after the game Kirk told me before the game Paterno came to him and said “ you believe all these bull**** calls Michigan gets” and Kirk told me he said how about all the bull**** calls you’ve gotten over the years lol. Really great man who could have taken the Michigan job and stuck where he loves. Anyways, awesome dude and he knows Epenesa is ours
Kirk may be the coolest coach. Let him "retire " to Miami as an analyst in some capacity.

Iowa lost their starting QB multiple weapons and O lineman and still won 10 games. Kirk has always coached to what he can recruit. He can’t run a spread high tempo offense. And the Proctor story is insane! Basically was late for multiple workouts, was dating a girl who’s father didn’t want his daughter to see him and he left because he didn’t follow simple rules. Mom
Wanted the money also so he went back to the dirtiest program alive. Crazy

Phil Parker and that Punter the Bears drafted last year were legit and Kirk is HOFer no doubt but it almost seemed Kirk had got bored and decided he wanted a challenge and the best way to do was having his offense handcuff him.

I know Iowa can’t run a spread up tempo offense but what they ran under Brian Ferentz were staggeringly bad and getting worse every year

You can see from 2019 you can see it going from bad to horrendous.

@DMoney from the 7/26 Bank

- DE Iose Epenesa (Edwardsville, IL) is the other big name to watch. The two schools with the most buzz are Miami and Utah but he doesn't seem any closer to a decision. However, he plays it pretty close to the vest.

- The other big name to watch is DE Iose Epenesa (Edwardsville, IL). Miami remains in a strong position but he has not made a decision yet. Utah is believed to be the other primary contender.
