If Battle stays with OSU after this scandal ... it's really

This whole “developing” **** is retarded. It’s doubly retarded when you try to link the decision of a dopey 17 year old to it. These kids go where they get convinced to go or where they get paid to go.

Did Paul Williams “develop” Artie Burns, or was Artie a great athlete who worked hard and had excellent NFL potential? You guys put way too much stock in the alleged genius of some position coaches. If they get great players then they’ll suddenly morph into great “developers.”

Hartley hasn’t “developed” anyone, but he has zero problems getting anyone to sign up here.
Its almost unbelievable that people here dont have this type of common sense. To me i look at there post and shake my head like is this a real life person. Its like Im tenpted to argue when I read this guy developed me when the player was going to be a beast anyway. Aint no one have to develop ST or Landon Collins or Odell or fuqin Amari Coope or Andre....them dude could of had me and chise as coaches and they were going to be demons regardless. @The Franchise is right theres too many things that contradicts this which makes it a fuqin theory plain n simple. Burns and thousands more examples of kids with bumb coaches who r studs.

If mj goes off and is a first rounder this narrative will change. It’s all about pro potential with these business decisions. It’ll pan out

Some kids just don't want to stay home period. I didn't and that's why I went to Miami. No ******* way I was staying anywhere near my home. I wanted new experiences . Don't be surprised if he decommits and goes to Michigan or Notre dame or penn state or any other school nowhere close to Florida. Probably has nothing to do with trusting our staff devolping him. ...

Lol just smoke weed bruh u tripping smh 🤦‍♂️

It's a combination of good coaching, the system and the mentalities of the player. Alot cant be ruled out, the good coaches do help develop the talent in front of them, the system should be a system that allows them to be able to thrive. Case in point, ed reed would not have been the ed reed we know had he come to UM under the last moron regime. How many d-linemen got ruined under the last moron regime. See chikillo, forston and company. Coaching development, under coach soldinger, our runningbacks were headhunters and they took that blocking to the league, under thomas brown, we're getting back to that.

Coaching development, i've never seen our receivers as a group block the way they have in game until coach dugans got here. Until i see different we have the best blocking widereceivers in the nation. Coach thomas brown, he's done a great job at developing our backs, in times past travis homer would've been passed up by lingard based off of testing numbers and potential, but coach brown understand what it actually takes besides that to be successful at that position. We back to bringing in an explosive offensive system to go with explosivecathle Tr es.

If this is the case then why do we tout all the former players and HOF NFL players we’ve had ? Why should they care about what Ed Reed has to say about persuading them to come here if they’re going to go to the league anyway ?

Isn’t that what NFLU is all about ? Developing players and sending them to the league ? I don’t disagree with your point but the track record and development ability of these coaches has to mean something

I would say 1% of total recruits at the major FBS level take into consideration development. People like to take that one time a kid says "I think this coach/team will develop me" as a gospel for most other players when that is rarely the case.

Location is the #1 thing a recruit looks at...after that, its a business decision.
You been to Columbus?

Burns spent his entire time with Paul Williams as a position coach. By his logic, he has a more impressive resume than Rumph. Guess we should bring his *** back.

Do you really think a 18 year old kid cares about a former coach abusing his wife and the hc lying about his knowing? I really believe kids have different hot buttons and many top SoFl talent are sold on stardom and $$$, rather it's under the table or NFL. Some coaches are better at identifying kids hot buttons. It's not always visiting campus and playing with homeboys.

Are you kidding? That HC is Urban Meyer. You think Battle goes to OSU if Ryan Day or Greg Schiano are recruiting him? He doesn't care about it morally...of course not, but the decision to go to OSU is entirely different for almost every single kid if Urban Meyer isn't the coach.

Can someone fly some banners over OSU to help the process along?

“Urban has to go!”

Read on Ga board this AM they are going after Battle also. Looks like Canes going to have to fight them for every elite SoFla DB from now on.
