If Battle stays with OSU after this scandal ... it's really

Here's facts if he stays with OSU he was going their no matter what. Yes its ok to say a kid knew the whole time where he wanted to go no matter what

uhhh, if Liar and staff are gone, who the **** do they have to hang their DB's to NFL hat on???? and even if Liar gets the boot, but staff is retained, thats only until they get the new HC... so kid would be signing up with coaches that mostly won't be there in a year or less...

Bet if he does (thats still a big if) flip to Miami, OP will still give no credit to our staff.
Our coaches will suddenly and magically morph into scientific genius “developers” if the golden child Battle anoints them by flipping.

IF Battle doesn't come to MIAMI, all it means is he really wants to play at OSU!! Nothing more, he might not be there for Urban..

This whole “developing” **** is retarded. It’s doubly retarded when you try to link the decision of a dopey 17 year old to it. These kids go where they get convinced to go or where they get paid to go.

Did Paul Williams “develop” Artie Burns, or was Artie a great athlete who worked hard and had excellent NFL potential? You guys put way too much stock in the alleged genius of some position coaches. If they get great players then they’ll suddenly morph into great “developers.”

Hartley hasn’t “developed” anyone, but he has zero problems getting anyone to sign up here.

Lol right Polendy still hasnt even learn to catch an hes a tight end lol

Coach Macho made a good point in that other thread . He may have exaggerated a lil but the point was still valid . Our coaches don’t really have anyone to point to and say we developed this guy here to a high draft pick. Yet . Very soon they’ll be able to produce receipts
After this year

He didn’t come here to ******* catch...the guy was brought in to block and occasionally run a route or two and a Brevin/Mallory we’re brought in to be that vertical threat.

The development line annoys me to no end. "We developed Colbert, Elder, Jenkins, Carter etc" - Porster. Like these 17 y/o kids who were probably 15 when those guys got drafted know who the **** they are. They aren't die hard Canes fan because if they were we wouldn't be losing so much to schools with bags. You can't sell development when all of the players you developed aren't starters in the NFL (Colbert is though).

Another Porster: "Our DB staff has developed Michael Jackson into a 1st round draft pick!" Wasn't Kaaya considered a top overall draft pick before the season? How that turn out?

Saying stupid **** like OP is a slap in the face to all the big time players we've already signed and currently have committed. The list is plentiful.

Corn could be starting this season with the injuries in Carolina.

Sure but that doesn't do anything. Unless Elder becomes a recognizable star player then using him as an example of how we develop players has no weight. These kids want to believe you can A) put them in the 1st round and B) put them on the path of becoming an NFL star when it comes to individual development. Right now we don't have any real examples. Most people don't know Colbert except for us and Niners fans.

Ward is 5'11 per the combine. Bandy is LISTED at 5'9 on UM's website. The only DB I can think of that got drafted high at that size was Bob Sanders. He ran a 4.4 at the combine and weighed over 200lbs.
Lamarcus Joyner 5 foot 8 (Round 2 IIRC), Honey Badger is like 5 foot 9, he went Round 3.
