Good grief, this guy was probably going to get 1500 yards on the ground last season and you can see the impact he had when he was gone( that offense the last third of the season simply wasnt as good) and it certainly showed at times on the effect he had on Stephen Morris

LOL you're trippin. the only backs ahead of him in the country are Gurley and maybe Yeldon. Duke is #3 at worse and id take him over Yeldon. Anybody else isnt even close

If he stays healthy and we feed him like we should, Duke should be in consideration for the Heisman this year. You go ahead and call that "incredibly overrated," and most will continue to think you're out of your hole.

The way this guy creates running lanes for himself is elite and is something that cannot be taught. i have YET to see a safety even have a prayer in tackling him when he puts a move on him.

He has no shot at all. Duke is better than Yearby at every facet of the game. Maybe he will be more durable, But not better.

Duke is the ONLY player I have seen get injured in every game he played in last year. He got hurt just about every game.

Y'all some crazy mofos. I swear. Duke had almost 1000 yards rushing last year in half a season. Mind you, he missed majority of USF, UNC, and half of FSU, and sat out majority of SVU. You gotta be ****ting me. He was on pace to shatter records last year before he went down for all purpose and possibly rushing yards in a season, and the all time all purpose yards.

Had game winning TD vs UF and our offense played like crap that day.

Had almost 100 rushing, 3 yards shy on FSU in not even a full game. Duke played his heart against them and we had nothing going.

Last year Also housed a kickoff and got called back and almost housed 2 others.

Had probably greatest freshman season for a Cane runningback ever. Or even a freshman here ever.

Puhlease, some of you look for anything to put down one of our players.

The thing that makes Duke special is that he can put a team on his back. He did it at Norland and was doing it here last year before he got injured.

People forget just what a monster season he was putting together last season. I really think he can be a Heisman Trophy finalist this season, heath provided( knock on wood) of course

Im very excited to see if this staff actually gets him out into space in the passing game this season
 
What CaneAlmighty said. I think Yearby can be great. But Duke is special and one of those guys who don't come around often. Duke puts the whole team on his back, been doing it for years and even still till today.
 
what's funny about the whole,'Well, Duke hasn't done it against a great defense/team' argument is that you could've said that about Edgerrin James well into his last year at UM in 1998( before he blew up halfway through that season)

I was keeping track of his numbers too last season. He was killing it out there, and he had a lot of missed time too. Some people just don't get it, because he was out the other half of the season they forgot.

Actually if I'm correct, he was leading the nation at the time in all purpose yards, some of y'all can go suck it.

Duke rushing numbers were on pace for like 1700-1800 even with missed time. 12+ rush TDs. Maybe about 200 receiving and maybe a TD receiving too. Could have probably housed a return at some point too, he had done it already and almost did with two others and was on pace for 800+ return yards.


We were staring down a potential 2800+ all purpose yard season with probably about 15-17 total TDs for Duke last year, with missed time and sitting out blowouts. If anyone dares to even say he is just average or not that good. You obviously don't know the game of football. He is a very special player. ******* retards.

Duke coulda ******* ran for 300 on UNC, he was killing them before the head injury where he had to sit out.

Dukes freshman year was a **** of a year too. Wasn't the starter at the beginning of the year and shared the ball with Mike James.

Had 947 rush yards. 10 rush TDs.

221 receiving yards, 1 rec TD.

892 return yards, 2 return TDs.

AND 8 pass yards for 1 pass TD.

Duke accumulated as a freshman 2068 all purpose yards and 14 total TDs.

And his sophomore year was on pace for better than that. Which is crazy.

For a freshman to do what he did? Duke was unreal. But some of you don't even appreciate it.

Can't wait for the season let me tell you. People gonna remember very quick how important he is. When he's out we miss him sorely on the team and on offense. He completely changes games for us.

Again, the facts, plays and stats are there. A healthy Duke is huge for us. You can bet your *** he's a heisman candidate, lot of peeps were even talking about it last season before he went down.
