I think Yearby is going to be better than Duke

Can we all just hope that the OP is right, that would mean Yearby turns out to be the second coming of Willis

You have to compare apples to apples.

Yearby is the mold of Gore from what I can see. Pure between the tackles guy. He can become elite there.

Duke is our Spiller. Dynamic play maker no matter where you put him on the field. Elite RB, top tier KO return guy if you want him there, and very good in the passing game as well.

as good as duke is YEARBY is an elite RB

Have been watching tons of film on Yearby the past couple days...and there's no doubt in my mind this kid is special. The way this guy creates running lanes for himself is elite and is something that cannot be taught. i have YET to see a safety even have a prayer in tackling him when he puts a move on him.

We all love Yearby & see great things in his future...but to say that a kid who hasn't played a single down of college football is better than him is irrational & makes you look ignorant. Let's give the proper respect to Duke & what he has already done for this team/program in only 2 years

To be fair, he didn't say Yearby is better than Duke. He said he thinks Yearby is going to be better than him. What's irrational and ignorant about that? It's just a projection, a guess. We do that all the time around here and in sports generally.

I don't see any smack towards Duke or a lack of respect or attempt to bring him down. That's a reach.

Exactly and don't apologize to the board feminazi's who shouldn't be talking you down for your opinion.

Duke is a RB who has a lot of potential, but to the guy calling him the best at his position in the nation, that's a stretch at this point. So far, we know Duke can run all over poor to fair competition. He's yet to do much against good or even elite competition, this even dates back to the Army AA game that he got knocked out of. He's also yet to last an entire season. While I appreciate what he brings to the table, he's gotta do those two things to be considered best in the land.

Did you not watch the FSU game last year? He was tearing up the national champions on their on field. And if the ref did not blow the whistle early he probably would of had a 60 yard td which would of been one of the top plays of college football last year minus the Auburn return FG TD.

Total bullshat whistle, still chafes my ***.

Duke had 90 yards rushing against FSU in one half before he got hurt. Try again sir.

The flipside to his YPC argument (which is hogwash) is that he was a workhorse with 23 carries and almost 100 against one of the best defenses in the country, IN ONE HALF. No doubt in my mind duke would have broke one off if he doesn't get hurt.

Realistically you got Todd Gurley, TJ Yeldon, Duke, and maybe Melvin Gordon. Only one of those who I might take over duke and that's Gurley. I'd definitely rather have duke then the other 2. The only question at this point is if he can stay healthy but if he does, I guarantee he gets 1,500+ yards and 15+ TDs

Derrieck Henry sends his greetings.

I'm praying hard that both Duke & Yearby can stay healthy. :hester-house:

Duke gained 57 yards in the 1st half at FSU. He was injured on UM's last offensive play in the 3Q. So, he didn't gain almost 100 yards in one half. Duke is a great talent. His accomplishments stand on their own. Nobody needs to make up stuff to prove he's good.

It will be nice to have some decent depth in the backfield. At least with Yearby, it doesn't look like there will be nearly the drop in production that there was when Johnson wasn't in the game. I liked Crawford for the tough yards, but he wasn't going to break a game open. We'll know the first game whether Gus will start using his size better. Gray is going to make things interesting as well.

Take that call away and he clears 100 yards easy.

He is a talent and you're right, nobody needs to make up stuff, but people still do on a minute by minute basis around here. Decent game for 3 quarters, decent yardage totals, but no points. Still waiting for him to put on a show against a decent team.

I would just say, if your in the business of watching film. You should think about pulling up some of the Duke in High School. This kid was AMAZING!!!!!!! Probably one of the best I've seen. Let alone everyone on the field knew he was getting the ball and he would still go off. Didn't he rush for like over 1000 yards just in his senior year playoff games? It was something crazy like that, I know he went for like 350 in the semis and then had 5 tds in the championship.....

Although the drug use may be strong OP, I can only hope Yearby is 75% of the Duke and if he ends up being better... WE BACK!!

Nino...I appreciate your enthusiasm toward Yearby...but dayumm.

Just sayin.

sorry guys.....im dukes biggest fan believe me..im just excited for yearby.

i remember after the UNC game when fans wanted crawford to be the main back. i wanted those fans to be slapped on sight.

The more you reply the worst it gets lol. If you have friends who told you they wanted Crawford to be our main back while Duke was healthy you should have slapped them in the mouth for that.

Yearby will be a very very good RB and possibly an Elite RB. But there is only and will only ever be one DUKE. He is the sole reason this team is on any one short list of possible title contenders. have your forgotten that Duke came in as freshman and single handedly saved us from losing to a terrible Boston College team in his first game?

lmao.... We haven't even seen Yearby play a college football game. You brothers are crazy. lol

I just think we should all wait until after a player plays his first game to determine where he will finish as a Cane. lol
