I think Yearby is going to be better than Duke

what's funny about the whole,'Well, Duke hasn't done it against a great defense/team' argument is that you could've said that about Edgerrin James well into his last year at UM in 1998( before he blew up halfway through that season)

Sometimes you just have trust your eyes and realize when a guy is special

I hear you on that, but he's still gotta do it against quality competition and remain healthy.

Reading about the guy, you'd think he was superhuman and our best back of all-time. I debated whether I'd put him in my top five after McGahee, Gore, Anderson, Edge, and Portis (in no particular order) and the conclusion I came up with is that I wouldn't. Simply put, he's gotta have the Big moment, not just against the sisters of the poor or slightly better.

Finally, it's annoying as **** how people keep saying a hit the century mark against FSU in a half.

as good as duke is YEARBY is an elite RB

Have been watching tons of film on Yearby the past couple days...and there's no doubt in my mind this kid is special. The way this guy creates running lanes for himself is elite and is something that cannot be taught. i have YET to see a safety even have a prayer in tackling him when he puts a move on him.

We all love Yearby & see great things in his future...but to say that a kid who hasn't played a single down of college football is better than him is irrational & makes you look ignorant. Let's give the proper respect to Duke & what he has already done for this team/program in only 2 years

To be fair, he didn't say Yearby is better than Duke. He said he thinks Yearby is going to be better than him. What's irrational and ignorant about that? It's just a projection, a guess. We do that all the time around here and in sports generally.

I don't see any smack towards Duke or a lack of respect or attempt to bring him down. That's a reach.

Exactly and don't apologize to the board feminazi's who shouldn't be talking you down for your opinion.

Duke is a RB who has a lot of potential, but to the guy calling him the best at his position in the nation, that's a stretch at this point. So far, we know Duke can run all over poor to fair competition. He's yet to do much against good or even elite competition, this even dates back to the Army AA game that he got knocked out of. He's also yet to last an entire season. While I appreciate what he brings to the table, he's gotta do those two things to be considered best in the land.

Did you not watch the FSU game last year? He was tearing up the national champions on their on field. And if the ref did not blow the whistle early he probably would of had a 60 yard td which would of been one of the top plays of college football last year minus the Auburn return FG TD.
The officials did blow the whistle and he wasn't tearing them up.

I'm sorry but that whistle by the ref was a bad call. And Duke was doing very good against FSU, a top defense. And again missed the rest of the game. And we had no life or pulse on the team that day besides Perryman and Hurns.

But everyone has their opinion. Ok.
