I’m sad…

There isn’t enough willing capital to make that happen. You need a coach who can actually coach.

We had a trash defense before they ever stepped on the field in August to play their first game. We probably have the least talented secondary and one of the least talented linebacking cores in the entire ACC.

The ceiling on this team was set in the offseason when we lost our starting secondary to the NFL and didn't replace them with quality portal players. One of our big boosters decided they would rather have a new car than a natty, I don't know. But that's when this was decided... it wasn't today.

You can't win natties being good on only one side of the ball. Anyone who thought that before has now gotten a hard dose of reality. Really, you want to be a top 10 offense AND a top 10 defense. We were the #1 offense but probably the worst defense in the P4. That won't work. Hopefully now, everybody understands that.

We can actually afford to let our offense slip a tiny bit next year, and if we add a bunch of studs to the defensive side of the ball and give them a simple scheme to run and coach up fundamentals, we can be a better team in 2025 than we were this year.

We were never a complete team. No amount of scheming or coaching could have fixed that.

There are a ton of coaches who could’ve taken this roster to the ACC title game

… for each of you who believed this season was special, that a new era had begun, that something was truly different.

I’m not a mope, I’m not a realist, I’m extremely cynical — and this program is somehow worse than my most cynical instincts. Nobody who is “down on Mario” was right today. None of us won anything, we just might’ve lost a little less, because we had less on the line.

My deepest passion died last year when he didn’t take a knee. I’ve felt bad in sports many times, countless times, it’s a right of passage. I’ve never been humiliated in front of the entire country by a single play, cucked by a man who created a brand new way to lose. That was the day the music died for me. I enjoyed some games this year, I love that my son loves football. Otherwise, following this program is a waste of my life, with no value added in any category of my existence.

Those of you who believed this season would be special genuinely deserve better than this program will ever give you. I don’t, but you do.

And that makes me sad.
For me, the music died when the U gave up the Orange Bowl.
She was old,,but I loved her..

I don't think there are. If we had just an average defense, we would have won the ACC this year easily. But we didn't. We had maybe the most untalented defense in the entire conference. I don't think a single player in this secondary has a future in the NFL, and that includes OJ Frederique, who showed his *** today. That won't cut it. In fact, I don't think a single player in our defensive secondary would start for 80% of teams in the ACC. Most of them need to hit the portal and we need to start fresh in 2025 with new players in that particular area.

And yeah, people who were saying DBs don't matter prior to the season.... LOL.

Get a new defensive crew and for heaven's sake get a ST specialist.
It speaks volumes on Mario's lack of real football knowledge and his ability to lead a championship program, with his flippant attitude to ST.
He is a low football iq coach who happened to luck in on the right programs.

Most defensive line talent in the league. Middle of the pack LBer room. Bottom third DB room. It was more than enough to make it to Charlotte.

And those players were enough to get us to 10 wins. You want more than that, you would have needed to add five or six more.
This is all complete BS.

We didn’t lose to teams that had more talent. We lost to teams that were overwhelming underdogs to us.

Mario is a complete *** clown of a coach. His teams are a reflection of him……melt under pressure.

Who hired the coaches…..who recruited the players? Let’s see you defend thst

Mario is your guy. Just own the L and realize we ain’t gonna win a thing with him

Next season i think I'm gonna take up golf my fat *** cant handle another year of Wario coaching my favorite team.

Disappointment and let down has been the expectation for a long, long time. Regardless of who the coach is, who the AD is, or who the QB is, or how "great" the offseason was we always end up right back in this same place year after year and it ******* sucks.

I'm sad too. As someone who has lived through Shannon, Golden, Richt, and Diaz...I suspect this is where the board will turn toxic with awful losses like this. Fans will turn on fans. Machismo will run rampant. Mods will go on a ban frenzy. I wish to God that Mario was the guy. I wanted him hired. I was wrong. He is not good enough. He is a more expensive Manny Diaz. I just wanted it to be different this time. Tired of fighting with other fans, tired of celebrating "top 10 classes" that most turn out to be busts, etc. This cycle is neverending. It's depressing because the story is going to end the same and we will start over...again.

Oregon fans will tell u it’s not. This was my concern w/ the hire. Every year, Oregon lost games they had no business losing based upon talent acquisition & schedule. The frustration were clear paths to the CFP, & poof.

This feels like 2017 all over again.

Much much much much much worse than 2017. We still made it to the ACC championship game with 1 loss. And going into that game we were decimated with injuries. Knew it would take basically a perfect game, plus some breaks to win. If fully healthy I think we would have been much more competitive.

All season we knew Rosier had huge limitations but Richt schemed around it. **** we lost our starting RB in game one and entire offense had to change. It was actually possible to win games due to the team being well coached. Won some big time games, signature wins against good competition.

And don’t get me started on how we got royally screwed by refs in the bowl game. Should have been an 11 win season.

UM was mostly healthy across the roster. We had one of the best qbs in cfb. 12 team playoff and we are likely out. Total embarrassment.

Mario has more signature losses than wins
As we look back on it, I’m not even sure the signature wins are truly signature.

2022 - none
2023
- 7-6 Texas A&M where Jimbo got fired?
- 9-4 Clemson I guess?

2024
- 7-5 UF? This one means more to me since it’s a rivalry, but considering how this board says they’re trash…is it signature worthy?
