Just because he was interviewed first(actually was the only one available to interview, Munchak still had a job and Franklin had a bowl game) doesn't make him a front runner. Penn State says they didn't make an offer to anyone. I bet the timeline was too tight for Al. If he didn't have to surface Monday this is probably still going on and we have EEs coming down not knowing who their coach is. If O'Brien had taken the Texans job on the Saturday of our bowl game and Penn State had begun searching for a coach then, Golden if offered I believe is the Penn State coach.
