Good hire if true. Our golden boy and his side kick Doritos better step there game up or Penn State with sanctions and all will finish better then us.
From what i read golden was their 3rd option behind franklin and munchak.
That's what it looks like at this point. I still think that both Franklin and Munchak are NFL bound.

Keep hope alive, boss. Franklin would be a boob to take that job. He's got a big future.

Golden is Plan D big time, but it looks like he very well may be their only plan. Schiano isn't going. Munchak will get an NFL coordinating position. Vanderbilt wont let Franklin go easily and the Browns/Titans are allegedly interested in him. It just might be a new Butch Davis day in Miami.
But of course, he was their "plan D", right.

How silly. Every indication from PSU, including from the media up there, is that Golden was right at the top of PSU's wish list. But of course, he was their "plan D", right.

Judging by his press conference, that sounds about right.

How so? I love the amateur psychologists on here pretending that because he was not his usual upbeat and intense self it means he was upset about losing the PSU job. The man spent a weekend making a huge decision regarding his alma mater and future career path. Not being upbeat in no way means he was rejected by PSU, and most reports say otherwise.

Oh and the Penn State media appear to suck just as bad as Ferman.
