Golden still in play at PSU!

Some of my sources are saying that my others sources aren't real sources, and that I shouldn't rely on them. But, I'm hearing from a usually reliable source that PSU has interviewed people and will hire one of them, or someone else. This is expected to go down in the next 24 to 1680 hours. It could be later though.

Personally, I'd like to track down all "sources" and eliminate them. If you don't give a name, you don't have a source.

Most of the buzz that I'm hearing this morning surrounds Al Golden. Was told that Golden is definitely not out of the picture and remains an option if Penn State decides to go that direction. Things have calmed down on his end and he's actually gone underground in the last couple of days. I do know that he's talked to other potential assistant coaches even after putting out the statement earlier this week.

Jason La Canfora is reporting that PSU is interviewing Greg Roman from the 49ers, I know some people desperately want Al gone but if he was really PSU's guy why would they be interviewing everyone else under the sun. Think about it Al Golden was the first interview, even if he was number PSU number 1 choice he was one of the top choices along with Franklin and Munchak .

If Al Golden really wanted to Penn State job than he would Penn State's coach right now. PSU would not be scrambling to find new candidates.

I agree - was starting to buy in to him leaving again yesterday until I heard him on HH. He sounded much more enthusiastic last night. Granted he wasn't forced to answer any tough questions by DBJ and the other guy ... but still.

He's not going to miss previously scheduled events. This is why he released a statement Sunday evening knowing he had a segment on radio and a press conference on Mon. The mod saying he does know Golden talked to potential assistant coaches after his weak "statement" is VERY telling.

telling of what?? these are the types of reports that had him becoming the next PSU HC sunday. the trouble is with colllege searches there are a hundred so called sources who claim to be in the know feeding these guys completely false or made up information.

Sounds like more speculation from a subscription site if you ask me. Ferman "knew" that he was offered the job and was accepting the position. I guess I don't know what he means by saying he has gone "underground" the past few days. If you listen to the HH interview he discusses how busy he and the staff have been the last 48 hours. That "reporter" may be right, but based on AG's activities the past few days he's been anything but "underground."
