Whooping Cane knows nothing .He has never known anything. He becomes secretive and acts like he knows something when the board is on edge but its a sick and demented trolling act. Dont fall for it.

Don't be mad that you're not inside the PM circle of trust.

All BS...this is a f*cking message board with people hiding behind anonymous handles....no reason you can't just say what you have on here instead of PM (if you have something:confused:). PM = Troll job

I said don't be mad.

Not mad...just calling out the guy as a pot stirrer.... he has nothing.

I don't understand why some fans love golden so much. Dude has never won **** in his career and only has 1 win vs teams over .500.

This is why they must go

Whooping, would you please give us a hint? Nothing to jeopardize your sources, mind you, just some hint.

Part of an update from Lions 247 10 min ago...

Most of the buzz that I'm hearing this morning surrounds Al Golden. Was told that Golden is definitely not out of the picture and remains an option if Penn State decides to go that direction. Things have calmed down on his end and he's actually gone underground in the last couple of days. I do know that he's talked to other potential assistant coaches even after putting out the statement earlier this week.

Was going on Hurricane Hotline last night part of his "going underground?"

No. It's part of his contract. UM coaches are required to do that show to promote the program. The last thing that puffy cloud wants to do is risk breaching his contract and giving UM reason to fire him for cause and not have to pay his buyout.

Isn't the buyout to be paid by the new employer????

I would think if Al "the cloud" really had an offer coming, his best bet would be breech, b/c if fired the buyout goes away and new employer doesn't have to cough-up the $5 million for the buy out. (dripping with sarcasm)

I had no clue there were so many Golden detractors. The unbelievable job he's done recruiting with the NCAA cloud hovering over the program is apparently going unnoticed. Had Miami not self-imposed last season, The Canes would have been in the ACC Championship game, do people remember that? Is our defense where we'd like it to be? of course not. I'm not a D'onofrio guy but we have some stud kids coming in to play DL/DE and maybe we can turn it around.

If he leaves, he leaves... I wouldn't blame him. But for the sake of the recruits, the program; I hope he remains.

The point I was trying to make is that the reporter said that Golden has gone "underground" the past couple of days when in actuality he did a press conference and 2 radio interviews. Whether they are contractually binding or not - I would hardly call that "going underground" which, imo, further promotes the idea that this reporter is purely speculating.
