What will it take for these two camps to shake hands and come to some kind of agreement so that this isn't the longest offseason in the history of football offseasons?

What's it going to be?

Why can't there be some middle ground?

Why does everyone either love Golden or loathe Golden?

Fire D' Nofrio and Jethro and hire Davis and Orgeon then everyone can shake hands and talk about how nobody can stop us until next year we lose our first game then its fire Golden/ Coley?

There is a middle ground, and the vast majority of us are in it. The problem is that the "Haters" side has an agenda and labels everyone a "slurper" if you don't agree with them. It's right out of the Trolling 101 handbook.

For God's sake, don't anyone mention firing Dorito or you'll catch **** from a bunch of retards who seem to think any criticism is unjustified.

Our problem is clearly defense, and we know who's been in charge.

Golden represents the University well, speaks well, and I believe is a good man. But Bobby Bowden kept his non-performing Coordinator (son) and it led to the ouster of Bobby.

Sure wouldn't like to see that happen at the U, but the numbers don't lie, and if Golden can't read the numbers, then he's not as bright as I thought.

Anyone who wants golden fired is a complete idiot. Talk to me after 2015 or 2016 season at the earliest

Bobby was fired 3 years after he let Jeff Bowden go. If the Nolies had been able to do better than 7-6 in 2 of those final 3 years, Bowden might still be around.

My issue with Golden is purely his coaching.

He's a great recruiter. A great CEO. A fantastic face for the program.

But he continues to trot out an absolutely pitiful defense for the 3rd year running. Something needs to change in that regard.

It will take time.1 year,2 tops and we'll finally know if he's the goods or the used car salesman he appears to be.

Some porsters do need to put their stances on Golden in their signatures, it will save them the trouble of having to type it out over and over again.

Slurper here.

For me its quite simple. If coach Golden doesnt make a change at D coordinator this offseason and dorito runs his same back peddling scheme next season then I will begin to call for Golden's firing...repeatedly.

Yup, put me in the same boat. Golden is a good recruiter, but you can't have "friends" when it comes to your coaching staff. If he wants to keep his buddy on at DC, because he's scared of losing a friend, then he needs to go.
