Golden on the Joe Rose show.

No excuse for anyone who lives within 20-30 miles of the stadium to not make it out to the Spring Game next Saturday.

1) It's at 6pm, so it isn't as hot.

2) There will be plenty things to keep your children occupied.

3) They are unveiling the new uniforms.

4) You get to see your team in action for the last time until August.

What about those of us that live 2538 miles & 2 time zones away?

Will we be castigated for not attending by the "superfans" that do attend?

Reading comprehension, BRO.

I read and comprehended. Just wanted a clarification.

So much for that QB competition.

Love DC back at safety and truly hope he gets a shot for PT this year.

Like I said, its not a real competition when you announce the starter before even the spring ends. He wants his loyal senior QB to start regardless if he's the best player or not. Golden just doesn't get it.

I bet Olsen feels like sh*t hearing Golden in public proclaiming Williams as the starter while he's putting the work in.

It's very bad of Golden to do this.

Olsen should feel like **** for acting the fool last year. He's got a lot of ground to make up. Williams has been "putting the work in" for longer, and apparently has a better grasp of things.

Seriously, you're an idiot of you think that Golden will intentionally sit Olsen if he thinks he's our best option to win. No coach wants to lose--that's career suicide.

I want to agree with you, but Snickers last year contradicts your point.

Not really. But hey, believe whatever you want. Golden wants us to fail and Shalala hates sports.

Guy should be locked in his office watching game film from Petrino's previous stop at Louisville. I'm talking about 24/7 from now until Labor Day. It's his only hope for formulating some kind of plan for stopping them.

My bet is Louisville will not be touched until late August maybe two weeks out from Kick Off...we still need to work on Plain ole fundamentals..
They dont anything special/fancy they just outplayed our players and coaches when he was there...With strong it was a little more ramped up with Defensive packages..

Golden/Dorito already proved they cannot formulate a plan to stop Louisville with one month to prepare. Operation: hold someone under 500 yards should already be in full swing.

I just hope we can hold them to under 500 yards since we've given up 483 yards or more in our last six games. But I guess pointing that out and not being okay with it makes me a mope.

I don't interpret what Golden said the same way you have here. I have seen many, many cases in which a coach affirms the (unquestioned) leader at a position only to change his mind later. I think announcing that the pecking order is set takes some of the pressure off the kids and reduces the nattering from the fans and the press.

I didn't listen to the interview but I bet I'm pretty close!

Couldn't be more wrong. Try supporting the team. Come out to the spring game and some games during the season

****, I guess I'll have to go listen to the interview now if Golden has changed his talking points.

As far as attending games, I'll vote my displeasure of Dorito with my wallet thanks.

Ahh so your a bandwagon jumper.....we seem to have many of those. People who complain about this team but don't come out to support them. You don't have to support the coaches but at least support the players. I'll even give you an extra ticket to agame this season if you'd like

Thanks for the offer. Seriously.

Instead, buy that ticket for a kid that has never been to a Canes game. Give him the time of his life.

He doesn't want to fail. He just doesn't have the guts to bench the bums and play guys with the higher ceiling. I would've rather started the true freshmen last year than the likes of Highsmith, Rodgers, Green, Cornileus, etc. Those guys just can't make plays.

No problem! The offer is there if you want it sometime. I usually have 2 extra tickets to every game I like to give to Canes fans

Nowhere does it say $30 to get in.

As far as I can recall, entrance to the Spring Game has always been free.

who is snicker's?

This guy.

"I was hungry. Grabbed a Snickers." Stephen Morris' opening comments after biting into a Snickers bar.

"I'm not worried about it ... You win some you lose some."

"I want to say to Coach Golden and David Case, thank you for the new uniforms!"

Chick belongs inside. He and Kamulu would actually be pretty decent tackles in a 4-3 set. A little undersized...but they would have some good qualities opposing interior lineman would have to deal with.

I REALLY hope we see more 4-3 looks this year. When you add those 2 inside with guys like AQM, McCord, and Thomas at D end you actually have some semblance of a pass rush.
