Golden on the Joe Rose show.

Olsen is doing great...williams is the leader and starter...no question

Kirby had the best scrimmage for Lbs
Dallas is pushing Carter and Bush or Starting
Beau is a stud Tight end..

looking forward to Thomas and jackson to add sack count

Owens had two sacks as did McCord we need to get one on one with guards etc..

Short and sweet...

I like what he had to say about Kirby. If he can come through and just be solid, the LB corps should be really good. He really likes Owens too. I think he splits time with Figs the second half of the year.

I know that Jenkins is hurt but he's not getting his spot back. Deon is more of a natural FS and Carter is obviously too good not to play. Love what I'm hearing about Crawford too. Dude is the ultimate team player and a solid all around football player. Great teams have a player or two like him.

I didn't hear him mention Beua but he did gush about Stan Dobard. AG described him as the most complete TE that we have. I'm gonna love seeing #5 up the seam for chunks of yards.

When Rose asked him about DT he mentioned Kumala. Not Moore, King, Hamilton or Hetalou....scares me but the growth of the LBs makes me feel a little bit better. Obviously we that is the biggest hole on the team. Hopefully Wyche, Moten and Jenkins are working their asses off.

That is perfect. They need Deon at Free and Carter at strong. that would be perfect

So much for that QB competition.

Love DC back at safety and truly hope he gets a shot for PT this year.

Like I said, its not a real competition when you announce the starter before even the spring ends. He wants his loyal senior QB to start regardless if he's the best player or not. Golden just doesn't get it.

I bet Olsen feels like sh*t hearing Golden in public proclaiming Williams as the starter while he's putting the work in.

It's very bad of Golden to do this.

Olsen should feel like **** for acting the fool last year. He's got a lot of ground to make up. Williams has been "putting the work in" for longer, and apparently has a better grasp of things.

Seriously, you're an idiot of you think that Golden will intentionally sit Olsen if he thinks he's our best option to win. No coach wants to lose--that's career suicide.

Very interesting that Golden constantly brings up Moten, Thomas, and Djaxx as if they are going to be instant impact players

He didn't say anything about counting on DJax and Thomas to contribute right away. Rose asked him "how you find double digit sacks guys?" AG said that you go out and recruit guys like DJax and Thomas and then talked about McCrord's and AQM's development. Probably should take a listen before making dumb comments like that.

I said constantly. Not just referring to this interview. Also, you should've listened to golden bring up Moten's name innumerable times on signing day and listened to all of his spring interviews in which he has referred to recruits and said implicitly & explicitly he expects them to make a contribution this year.

In one interview Golden said something along the lines of "we had trouble at the DT spot the past two years and now we bring in a guy like AJ Moten and he will help right away"

Been said before Williams knows the playbook...I'd rather have someone who knows and understands the playbook, check downs and audiables.

Guy should be locked in his office watching game film from Petrino's previous stop at Louisville. I'm talking about 24/7 from now until Labor Day. It's his only hope for formulating some kind of plan for stopping them.

Summary now

I didn't listen to the interview but I bet I'm pretty close!

Couldn't be more wrong. Try supporting the team. Come out to the spring game and some games during the season

****, I guess I'll have to go listen to the interview now if Golden has changed his talking points.

As far as attending games, I'll vote my displeasure of Dorito with my wallet thanks.

I remember hearing that comment about Moten. Rose asked about the struggles at DT during recruiting. AG brought up Moten saying we wouldn't have gotten him without clarity on the NCAA. I've never heard him speak about Moten getting playing time like he did with Coley. Contributing is a little different that expecting an impact. Most freshman are expected to contribute.

Mentioning our the top 3 players from STA and BTW on a Miami radio station in interviews is pretty good for business too don't ya think?

My bet is Louisville will not be touched until late August maybe two weeks out from Kick Off...we still need to work on Plain ole fundamentals..
They dont anything special/fancy they just outplayed our players and coaches when he was there...With strong it was a little more ramped up with Defensive packages..

Must have missed when Golden announced the starting QB for 2014. Can you provide a link?

If people say it enough maybe it'll actually be true some day, or at least others will take it as fact just b/c of repetition (whether or not its reality) ...Valid just doesn't get it.

I agree, i dont think i ever heard a coach talk more about future freshman that are not in spring practice at all. seems odd

thats the psychology...he is tryin to light a fire on the current guys or just think they suck. I remembered EVERY SPRING i played our coach would do this and say"we signed guys over you in feburary ot take your spot".
King and Moore are not versatile at all dont know what hes talking about.

Chad Thomas though is a impact guy outside where ever he goes...a situational guy...but a guy that likely can get 5-7 sacks on the year imo. They have improved their pass rush imo, as far as how they've recruited that spot, its just that those inside guys leave alot to be desired.

No excuse for anyone who lives within 20-30 miles of the stadium to not make it out to the Spring Game next saturday.

1) It's at 6pm, so it isn't as hot.

2) There will be plenty things to keep your children occupied.

3) They are unveiling the new uniforms.

4) You get to see your team in action for the last time until August.

once again, I'm not referring to a Jim rose interview. "Most freshman are expected to contribute?" In year 4? If you want to be successful I would hope most freshman aren't expected to contribute

What about those of us that live 2538 miles & 2 time zones away?

Will we be castigated for not attending by the "superfans" that do attend?

Reading comprehension, BRO.

You'll be castigated because you never attend games anyway, but you'll now pretend that the reason you aren't attending games is in protest of Golden/D'Onofrio.

You'll act all tough and talk about what an awesome fan you are, that you support a "win or GTFO" attitude and that anyone who accepts mediocrity is a loser, but the truth is you're just another jerkoff who doesn't attend, doesn't give anything to the AD, but still ******* and moans at everything, as though UM owes you something.

I want to agree with you, but Snickers last year contradicts your point.
