Plan is for him to work and train everyday and get back to the team for spring ball next year. Thinks with a season off and proper training he will be an absolute monster. Good for the team because we get a top DT back next year. Good for him because he cleans up his act and dominates and has great film for NFL.

Please tell me he left the team for family reasons or something personal. Otherwise I do not understand why he would leave just to take a season off in preparation for the next.

lol franchise. by his tweets, it certainly looks like he is or wants to come back. him leaving with the intent to come back makes no sense and is the most abnormal thing ever. him training out of the area with some trainer instead of practicing and training with the team makes no sense. none. there is something else.

here"s to hoping he makes it back. we are a better team if he does and just makes it thru the 1st semester. but, I don't see it.

As much as I like the kid for a true freshman that is a lot. Unless he is Ed Oliver.
Get one true 1tech in JUCO and that group is goooooddd!

Best case scenario is Norton/McIntosh at DT in 2018. Just sayin. That said, if both those guys stay healthy and have the kind of years they are going to have this season, it will take one helluva re-recruiting job by Kool and CMR to make that happen.

Why do people seem to think it's more likely that Norton goes and RJ stays, than vice versa? Honest question.

He's putting his eggs into the 2018 basket as a 5th year senior.

He can't be foolish enough to think that he can attempt to enter the league with 6 career tackles.

the more I think about, the more I think he might be coming back. while I never agree with rok, he can't think he's going to make in the league with limited playing time and no body of work. like rok said, maybe he's coming back to start and to put his eggs in his final season and get drafted. otherwise, this route he's taking isn't getting him anywhere.

none of it makes sense to leave, but, he must have a plan to come back.
