He's coming back for the spring 2018 semester imo

Lol at those drills. I know it's just a "highlight" reel but those are the most uninspiring training clips I've ever seen

Plan is for him to work and train everyday and get back to the team for spring ball next year. Thinks with a season off and proper training he will be an absolute monster. Good for the team because we get a top DT back next year. Good for him because he cleans up his act and dominates and has great film for NFL.

Willis is literally living the sweet life in southern California's beautiful San Fernando valley.

Instead of playing behind Norton and McIntosh and doing school work he'll get to return in 2018 and be, at worst, the team's second best DT.

I used to think there was no way he was coming back, but after watching that video and reading your posts, I'm almost certain he'll be back. He's got that Miami look. Plus, it's pretty standard these days for troubled guys to leave school, move 3,000 miles away, work out privately with trainers for a year, and then come back.

So does your new way of thinking also include Santa the Easter Bunny and Julio Derosier? Funny how he just picked up that Miami look in a couple of days. Always fun watching some of you guys being an *** to a poster just to eventually make a similar statement.
Your sarcasm detector isn't running at its highest setting, huh?

That was his sarcastic response to me saying Willis could return in 2018 a few days earlier in the Jon Ford thread so you can ask him.

Willis and RJ as the starting DTs in 2018 will be Nice.

Bethel, Ford, Silvera, Martin, Fines backing them up. Would only need to take one more DT in 2018.

It's a semester away from school and football. It's not a big deal at all, especialy when he is coming off surgery and wants to get right.

Why is it up to him to redshirt? We need his depth this year, and he can still be this same stud you are speaking of next year.

I love Willis, he's an old school down and dirty type who will rip your head off on the field. Played inside in the SEC at 260ish as an 18 year old so that should speak to his toughness. But I'd be happily surprised if he's back next year... Kid has been walking thin line in and out of doghouses at both schools since day 1. Never seemed to really care about school and is a little bit of a live wire with his temper... and we think it's a lock he will be back for his 5th year of college life? Would love for it to happen, but I would lay some small odds against it.

Hope you are all right.

He's basically pulling a linder, but not switching schools.

Why wouldn't he just transfer? He's got no film to offer scouts. Perhaps he transfers later on but if that's his intention then he would've moved on with his life instead of staying on the roster.

Because he'll start next year and have a lot more film to show then he would being the 3rd DT this year. Transferring doesn't help him get on the field any faster. Here's to hoping either Norton or Mcintosh stay one more year as well. rokulika

It's kind of odd move but if he is still nursing an injury it makes sense and it helps the team.

Willis coming back next season? Hmmm. Joe jack had posted pic on ig from media day with the dline

If you're not on board with Willis being here in 2018 after his semester abroad then you can't be helped.
