The gators had 2 of the biggest super bowl ***** ups in recent memory. Hargreaves run into the end zone in street clothes and flip flops. Evan macpherson stayed on the field the entire halftime and watched the show
I feel like I distinctly remember Brian Poole choking realllllly hard in that comeback win the pats had over Atlanta as well

I pray we finish with a good enough record to get a NY6 bowl and play these ****ers so bad.... and beat TF outta them cause I know Mario will not tolerate losing to the gaytor.
I got news for you. If we wind up in a NY6 game, there's no chance that we are playing the Gaytes. They may be the 4th place team in the $EC East.

I mean, I can understand alejo's desire to "wait until next February" to judge who is better, Mario C (likes to keep it clean) or Billy Gaypier. Unlike, say, every other Gaytor fan on the boards, who want an IMMEDIATE declaration of who is currently ahead on hiring (Gaypier of course) and recruiting (Gaypier of course), even before all of the coaches are hired or all the recruits signed.

But the real idiot is, of course (and no surprise here), Smurphy.

1. "I don't see how a neutral observer would classify their whole staff as pretty good." And, yet..IT'S HAPPENING...****, I can understand if he wants to dismiss all the UM fans (you know, bias, something none of the Gaytor porsters have), but how can he dismiss one sportswriter after another? I mean, sure, if it was ONLY SoFla sportswriters...but one after another, sportswriters who do not cover Miami, who do not love Miami, who are completely "neutral" about observing Miami...are all saying that Miami's staff is "pretty good". Some might say "pretty pretty pretty good".

2. On offense, he likes Gattis, he likes Smith, he tries to diminish Cristobal/Mirabal by equating them with the Gaytors' staff at OL, and then he loses me. He tries to knock "Prince" (I think he meant Ponce), and then he pretends we are keeping Fields. Awwwww, how cute.

3. The DEFENSIVE staff, though, is "terrible". It's "chalk full" of geezers (he claims to have a UiF education, but he uses words that he clearly doesn't know the meaning of, it's "chock-full" SmurphyClown) and geezers no one else wanted. "Charlie & Steele" belong in off field roles, not running a defense. Oh, really? Steele was on track to be the head coach at BOTH Auburn and Tennessee (I've heard both programs are in the SEC-SEC-SEC) and it's looking like both schools screwed up by not keeping Steele. But, sure, he should just be a consultant. Yeah. Right. Oh, and "Addae was pushed out by Kirby for some dude no one's ever heard of". Really? So Addae coached for one year at UGa, they won the national championship, he was up for recruiter of the year, but somehow UGa pushed him out? I mean, it couldn't possibly have something to do with the revamping of UGa's defensive staff and the Return of Muschimp, could it? Oh, and "literally no one wanted Salave'a"? Who makes this crap up? Oregon wanted him. And it's not like he was actively seeking out jobs or anything, he was one of the first guys hired by Miami. But, oh yeah, we can just make up a "literally no one wanted him" slander and nobody will be able to rebut us.

Look, at this point, we should all know what to expect from SmurphyGaytor. He is a liar, a homer, and a clown. He "literally" is "chalk full" of bullcrap, and everything he says should be mocked and disbelieved.

Here i am a huge Beastie Boys fan and I never made this connection.

“At the boards is the man they call Mario”

"And that's a record, that's a record cause of Mario" [Root Down]

Huge fan of the Beasties. Licensed to Ill came out in my first semester at UM, I remember walking over to Specs on US-1 to buy it on VINYL. That was one of the last records I ever bought before moving to CDs. Definitely bought Paul's Boutique on CD in 1989.

Had one of the first CD players in our dorm, bought it at Sound Advice across US-1. First CD was Steve Winwood, "Back in the High Life". No shame, that was a huge album, not a lot of CDs available in 1986. Used to put my initials on the CDs so people wouldn't steal that ****e at fraternity parties and whatnot.

License to Ill was the first cassette I ever bought. I was 7 and my mom listened to it to make sure there weren't any curse words. I had Paul's Boutique on cassette originally also but by the time Check Your Head came out, I had transitioned everything over to CD. I regret not seeing the Beasties live as much as I would have liked but they really didn't play much in Florida. I had to drive to Atlanta to see them on the Hello Nasty tour in 1998 or 99? Rancid was the opening band. It was pretty incredible. The last time I saw them perform was at the Langerado festival at Big Cypress Indian reservation back in 2008. MCA RIP.

Before Licensed to Ill was released in November 1986, they opened up for Madonna in 1985, they played Orlando, Tampa, and the good ol' Hollywood Sportatorium. They also played Tampa and Miami (and later West Palm) in mid-1986 on the Run-DMC "Raising ****" tour. The West Palm show was right as I was starting my freshman year, some of us wanted to go to see Run-DMC but we had Orientation and move-in and whatnot, plus we were making runs to Home Depot to buy stuff to build lofts in the dorm rooms.

On the Licensed to Ill tour, just a couple months after the album was released, they went to St. Pete, Jax, and the good ol' Sunrise Musical Theater during February. In the summertime, they went to Tally, Tampa, Orlando, Jax, and good ol' Bobby Maduro Stadium in Miami.

Then, if you remember, they had a long lay-off until they put out Paul's Boutique in 1989, and the album notoriously bombed when it was first released. The Beasties played at DECOS on Miami Beach (now THAT club is a blast from the past). I think it was one of only a handful of dates that they EVER did for Paul's Boutique. I know that they HATED the debauchery of the Licensed to Ill tour, and they really didn't tour again until Check Your Head in 1992.

They played club dates in May 1992 as well for Check Your Head. I saw them at The Edge in Orlando, and they played the Cameo in Miami Beach (plus St. Pete). In November 1992, they played The Edge again, Bayfront in Miami, plus Tampa and Jax.

They did Lollapalooza in 1994 when Ill Communication came out. After that, they played mostly arenas, stadiums, and festivals for the rest of their career.

Here's a "neutral observer" who thinks that Miami's coaching staff is pretty good:
