People want to crown FSU and say Pitt had a good defense last year. Everyone remembers the ND game but nobody remembers their
31-17 loss to Younstown State, their 24-17 loss to Uconn, or their 38-17 loss to Ole Miss. All bad teams last year. Pitt did finish the year at 6-7 and they too are breaking in a new staff, like FSU, with less talent at their disposal. Losing Shell killed them, he was by far their best player.
 
I hope all you guys now start taking dumps on FSU's offensive line. Thats the second time they weren't able to convert a short yardage situation in this game. Whats fair is fair.
 
It's not about slurping the enemy, people are just being honest and giving credit where it's due. Winston looks damned good. There's no denying the numbers. Jumbo obviously had his kids prepared and no one would argue that Pitt is a worse team than FAU. Morris looked like dog **** compared to this kid ( considering the comp). Troof. I mean.....honestly, who looks like the projected third QB taken in the 14' draft???? Morris????? Or Winston???? Morris better get his **** together...

I guarantee FAU has better athletes in their secondary than Pitt.

Indeed. I've been liking what I've been seeing on both their lines. They've got playmakers at WR but RB and the lines look down. Just one game, but its noticeable.

One of their starting corners is injured. Pitt is at around 55% and FSU has two ints. Pitt has some good receivers, not like their scrubs.

Their int's are of two pretty bad passes. The first was a punt when savage got jacked.
The second was a horrible pass, underthrown by 10 yards. If savage had throw the pass correctly it was a long gain if not a td, as the safety was running full steam on a horrible angle.
These Pitt receivers aren't a great group and their qb is having a bad day.

Agree to a certain extent. I believe their secondary picks up where they left off last year once the season keeps going on. One thing that could easily deteriate their defense is the front 7, last year they were loaded there. Won't get the same amount of pressure. Wrs vs Cbs gonna be a good matchup. Ill take our group with a healthy rashawn + Lewis.

That's like a slower version of Allen Hurns blowing by 2fsu db's.

On a side note.
I'm sure Ponder's wife has a sweet snatch but she has ears like a 5th year collegiate wrestler.

No difference here my brother I am as big a UM fan as it gets, I just like to study my opponent before I kick their ***. FSU is a good team and Winston balled out tonight doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that. Trust me the U boys watched tonight too. Doesn't mean you cower you prep and get ready to compete that's what it is. Face it, FSU is not going to suck anytime soon. Do we really want them too? One week at a time and we'll be good..

I'm not "prepping" for anything. I'm just a fan, and I hate fsu with every fiber of my being. So I'm not going to slob their ****. To each his own.

Pitt has 1 dlineman over 300lbs and one linebacker over 225. Overall the defense is dwarfed as far as size is concerned. FSU will not have a game like this against us, Vtech, or any SEC defense. Even Clemson's poor tackling defense will limit what FSU will do. Every receiver has minimum 7 yards separation. Winston had to make maybe 1 or 2 throws into tight coverage. Lets hold off on crowning the PERENNIAL PAPER CHAMPS.

The ****? I get not stroking or crowning FSU and sending letters to Golden asking to forfeit our game, but you're bagging on people who want to discuss football rationally on a football message board? Did I read that correctly on another post?

This thread (and others like it) was created so that all the observations of an opponent would be packed into one thread instead of multiple annoying threads about FSU, UF, etc. It says "FSU 2013." It's not that difficult to avoid. There is some unnecessary "crowning" going on here, I realize, but there are also a lot of just plain observations of what was seen on TV.

The **** don't you get about me not wanting to see people gumming fsu's nuts on here? Where did I tell anyone not to discuss football RATIONALLY (rationally to me doesn't include thinking Jemima shyts gold nuggets or that Jambutt is a sudden genius). If that's what you want, then do it. If guys want to gobble fsu's junk, then do that too. People who don't like that should be allowed to say that they don't like that. We don't all have to like what you like.
