How you think the realignment situation is going for us now? Appears FSU and Clemson are about to get out for next season. So hopefully when the dam breaks we get out too. I think as long as the SEC takes Clemson, we're pretty secure to get into B10.

Clemson & poo are simply a blueprint. We'll be in the Big ten no matter what anyone else does. You have to understand the reasoning behind all this conference stuff. The SEC isn't going to take us because Florida has the votes to keep us out and they don't want to send number one because we're a rival number two because it opens up the south for everyone they don't want more competition in the South when you're talking about recruiting you get far more of a tow hold when you're playing games down there then you do simply taking a trip several times a year. That is also the exact reason why the Big ten would happily take us no matter what anyone does because it opens up the big 10 for everybody coming down to the South. No one else gives them that ability. Simple business sense. If you're a conference that has never come down to the south been open to the south and the only people you've seen able to have success down here from your neck of the woods is what Ohio State. You think other teams don't have a little bit of ***** envy going on.

I never understood why UM trustees hired him in the first place. He could barely speak English, wasn’t a good fund raiser, seemed clueless re the football program, the law school is a mess, academics has slipped under him, etc etc. UM needs to make a home run hire.

He was hired away from Haaaaaavaaaard thinking he was going to turn Miami into the Haaaaaaavaaaaaard of Latin America.

It is pretty obvious he was hired largely because of his ethnicity, probably made Board members feel good.

Please stop with this nonsense.

As an academic, Frenk has a good resume. And from what some of us have heard from people at both UCLA and UM, he actually INTERVIEWS for a job very well.

Fain took issue with Stavridis. The rest is history.

Can we please stop making this about Frenk's ethnicity?

And Butch being hired at UM had waayyy more to do with Butch being close to Leonard & Stuart Miller (Lennar) and Paul D'Mare (as @Brooklyndee will attest, than Out going Foote.

Fair point. I was never a fan of Foote/Dee as it related to Athletics, I knew the Bernie story.

I was just trying to satisfy the folks who try to give all the credit and/or all the blame to whoever is in charge at that particular moment.

People spin a lot of crazy stories. One of these days, we will be told that Foote hired Schnellenberger or that Donna got us into the Big East...
