For those that want to Bail on Golden

I said appears to be a great CEO.

We know his coaching is subpar. We can't really judge his recruiting, development, etc. And we don't know he is keeping Dorito yet....

we said randy and co. didn't develop players. now that's two coaching staff's not maximizing player's talent level amidst a scandal? we should be doing cartwheels w/ a 9-3 record. I personally believe this job is a little over his head with the unrealistic expectations we place on this NFL U. Unfortunately Dorito and Al are learning on the job and that's not good enough for our fanbase. He gets one more yr in my book before I lead the lynch mob, but he needs to cut ties w/ Dorito. If he doesn't, anything less than 10-2 should get him fired...

Within the 10 weeks, we will find out exactly what Golden's intentions are with the program. One, we will know if he is stubborn enough to keep Dorito and this has been discussed ad nauseam. We all know the deal. Second, If we keep this class together and even flip a couple of other guys out there and bring in the class we think we can, we are already that much better just by subtracting last years bonafide dumpster fire of a senior class and substituting play makers all over the place.

I think, just by looking at the roster, we are looking at 2015 as a resurgence into something tangible. Next year will be a disaster on defense no matter who is in charge. Our offense has the potential to be fantastic, but holy cow at the defense. We might be the worst defense in college football even with a fresh DC with a more aggressive philosophy. If its still Dorito and his sprint backwards on roller skates D, then we could set some serious records. I might watch out of pure amusement.

But even with all that, 2 more recruiting classes, along with Golden using the waiver wire and bringing in JUCO's I think we'll be fine in 14 and make some serious noise in 15. Just my .02 pesos.

**** off with the defence getting worse next year.

How can you get worse than rock bottom?

I'm already resigned to the notion that 2015 is our year.

If we get good QB play, we'll be explosive on offense in 2014. Defense still isn't going to be where we want it.

Donofrio is staying. Is he the best D coordinator in the world? Of course he is not. Yet he is pretty darn good. Al Golden trusts him. Now how can Golden trust a guy whose supposed scheme is giving up 500 yards a game? Is it because of blind loyalty? Stupidity? Or maybe just maybe Golden knows that this guy can coach? Donofrios's defense his last year AT TEMPLE! ranked 17 nationally and 14th in pas defense. In his last year temple was ahead of Miami in scoring and rushing D. Why? because Donofrio had implemented his complex 34 scheme with HIS GUYS. I expect some improvement next year defensively and although we will have a young line, it will be more talented and a lot more players will be acclimated with the Flex 34. I don't think D'onofrio all of a sudden forgot to coach.

Questions?

What were Vag Tech and Dukes recruiting classes ranked for the past 5 years?

Better than UM? NO? Did we win those games or were we blown out in both?

Is it too much to ask to not give up over 500 yards of offense to two average offensive teams? (Vag tech #98, Duke #68)

Do you guys really want a coach that needs the 78 Steel Curtain on D, and 99 St. Louis Rams offense in order to be successful?

THis is exactly my point. We are a name program. The Miami Hurricanes aka the U. Yet our talent level especially at the top is not too different from the Dukes and Va-techs of the world. Especially when we play without our best running back and our best WR. If you see our roster the best DT in Tech is way better than anyone in Miami. Everything else we have on D at the top does not separate us at all from Duke or Va Tech. Hence not surprising to see us drop those games. Just like Duke and Va. Tech also dropped games (especially Va. Tech to Maryland). As much as it hurts we are not that talented. Also in CFB you win with talent simple as that. Nick Saban came to the NFL where the playing field was level and he was a average. He came to Bama recruited studs 2 deep and won. THen he paid top notch assistants a boatload of money (something miami cannot compete at). Last night Saban lost to an inferior team… it happens. Miami does not have depth. Miami 's last class was good but this class is the one that will give us 10+ wins consistently and next year's class will eventually make us NC contenders. Expect our D to improve substantially when studs like Thomas and Moten and Valentine are at the line.

We are 9-3. you tell me that the talent of the upperclassmen is enough and I have a beautiful beachfront property in Naples to sell ya. Our "talent" is a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. That won't carry your team.

I don't know how you can call Kamalu mediocre & say he doesn't belong here. I thought he looked great these past few games & I'm more excited about him then any other DL on this roster.

^^^^^^ and I hope to be wrong. Yet he is a benchwarmer at best. Guys like Moten, Klark, Valentine, and Cory Johnson/Pelon are Miami level studs. Kamalu should be a 2 deep maybe 3 deep guy that is here for depth purposes when we are "back". Shows how the mighty have fallen.

So wht do you say about his D being 17th Nationally and pass D 14 Th nationally @ Temple? Anyone can put up a GIF and bring nothing to the table. But the guy produced at a crappy *** school and had players drafted FROM TEMPLE IN THE NFL!. Now imagine when he gets these 2 classes at the junior and senior level.

Ughhh again with the temple. Yes temple sucks *** but so did the conference they played in. Lets not act like they were shutting down texas a&m. Just because they had that success in the MAC doesn't mean they will have success here.

I've posted graphs, trends, stats, you name it, I've torn Dorito to shreds. He's an awful coordinator. Anyone still thinking he's "pretty darn good" at this point is a lunatic.

I'm still in tears at someone claiming this guy is good.

I'm glad he once ranked 17th in the MAC conference many years ago. Larry Coker once went 12-0, guess he's the next Vince Lombardi.

So this is simply about star ratings? Gotcha.
