Yeah that's what gets me. Mario wants to win. Dude went from ground and pound to the air raid. He isn't going to die on the Guidry hill the way Golden did with no D. He'll do whatever it takes.

The hesitation is we need proven. We need a Shannon Dawson on defense.

Hate it because I liked Guidry. I thought he was the real deal when we hired him and even this off-season. I also think he had terrible players to work with.

TBH,,, Salave’a needs to go and you could argue Jason Taylor too. Clint Hurtt is back on the market without a DC title in the NFL. That was Mario’s first choice when hired and makes a ton of sense. Fix DL and DC at the same time

Then he needs to find someone he trusts to help him do it right cause it’s obvious he has no clue when it comes to hiring competent coaches for the most part cause he continues to bring garbage aboard when guys on CIS like yourself that know football know from the jump the guys he’s hiring aren’t going to work.

Makes sense for both to move on. Joe is a west coast lifer. I’d say he’s ready to go back. Also could see him around for 1 more year for Francis.
