Final Four vs. UCONN - 4/1 8:49pm EDT on CBS

We don’t get here without Wooga who was great the second half of the year. He developed as much as anyone in recent history from a Fr to soph. He’s been automatic on FT’s, open threes and solid with mid range. Improved on the drive. His handle needs work but id expect another jump with his work ethic. He deserved every bit of of the love he’s gotten. One game doesn’t change that.
He didnt show up in biggest game tho, he was shooting his normal shots like airballs and dribbling the ball out of bounds. If we listen to our guys that big time players make big time plays in big time games.... He aint that guy then..

Hope he continues to develop but last night he was soo bad, Coach L even saw he was unplayable.. That is glaring

I haven't listened yet, but he wouldn't be the first young person to overvalue his worth or ability. He isn't an NBA player. Not even close to being anything other than an end of bench guy. If that.
Then he plays and stars overseas. NBA is not always the end game. You can make real money in Europe.

I'd be shocked if he comes back for a 5th season.

Were Houston and Texas not big time games? He excelled in those. He helped start the comeback against Texas. Not saying he he doesn’t need to improve, but he played well enough this tournament. Just had a bad game

Idk.. If they are saying all week you are nba talent and projected to be #1 option on team, that means you have to bring it every night.. He played well in those games but against higher level talent that he would see in nba nightly, he couldnt even dribble.. Coach L had to sit him, he was soo unplayable..

I am sure he will continue to get better but we need legit #1 options that show up consistently. He is nice piece, like a 3 and D guy

Last year we lost in the elite 8, and this year Coach L made adjustments based on the mistakes that caused us to lose to Kansas. This year we lost in the final four, and I trust Coach L will adjust for next year. Despite the loss, no doubt we could’ve won if we didn’t have an off night. We also have a majority of the team coming back that has now experienced a final four run. Great season, and what a ride these past few months have been. I didn’t think last year would be topped so soon. Go canes.

Could be an exciting run that turns into the standard of being a regular tournament team and player in the conference…

I’m glad Miami didn’t give up on L, and L the players, like many here did…

Agree, although their guard wasn’t at 100%.
Very simply, after they started 9-0, we outscored them from that point to 11 and a half minutes left in the game.

At 11:20, we cut it to 8 on a Wong 3.
They missed their following shot, and we had Omier and Miller in position for the rebound…
And that goof Klingon grabs the ‘bound and and follows up with a basket.

That was tough.
We had it working with a chance to cut it to 6 or 5.
We got no closer than 10 after that..
Rebounding and loose balls was the difference in the end.

of course, he played well.. But last nite he looked like he reverted to Kansas Wooga.. Just saying there may be a ceiling for him.. You know how bad you have to play for Coach L to deem you unplayable.. Even Walker still plays and has green light to shoot whatever shot he wants..

Yesterday was bad, its a fact.. He is a nice piece, I hope he learns and continues to grow from it.

Yep agree. Seeing the replay where we cut it to 8 with still plenty of time left was tough. Just couldn’t seem to pull ahead at any point.

I think there's a lot of truth in what Vish says.....

The two teams I thought Miami had that could actually win it all both played one horrible half where they couldn't buy a basket. What makes this tourney so tough to win, also tough to stomach that type of loss. Coincidentally Uconn will be the champ in both those teams seasons if they win tomorrow.
