Final Four vs. UCONN - 4/1 8:49pm EDT on CBS

We are fans on a message board so I get it but I dont see it.. Hawkins was at most 75%, Jackson was in early foul trouble in first half, and they still were up 13 at half time. Everything seemed hard for us and from opening tip they had open looks, they took lead and never really had to break sweat.. Nobody played well, well thats on us! No one to blame but ourselves.. We knew the stakes going in, we dont get 10 chances, you get one.. Bring your A game.. We didnt.
You don’t see what? We didn’t play well. The end.
What’s hard to understand? Sometimes nothing goes right. A lot of your post is what my post said. So I agree it’s on us. Like I stated, We didn’t play well. It happens.
Take 9-0 start away in first minute and we outscored them until there was like 11:30 left in 2nd half…playing like complete dog****. Just making the point changes don’t need to be made. A couple never before had luxuries would be nice. Like depth and some help for NO. But the biggest get would be keeping Wong here.

Agree, although their guard wasn’t at 100%.
Very simply, after they started 9-0, we outscored them from that point to 11 and a half minutes left in the game.

At 11:20, we cut it to 8 on a Wong 3.
They missed their following shot, and we had Omier and Miller in position for the rebound…
And that goof Klingon grabs the ‘bound and and follows up with a basket.

That was tough.
We had it working with a chance to cut it to 6 or 5.
We got no closer than 10 after that..
Rebounding and loose balls was the difference in the end.
Clingan is no 7'2 "goof," as you put it. As a true Freshman, he runs the floor VERY well, has great footwork and passing skills, and an accurate shot.

He really didn't a notable game against us but ... in the long run, he'll be better than Sanogo. Already better skills than Hunter ****inson at Michigan, just lacks his playing time. Wish one of our Freshmen had been ready to step up for us like Clingan did for UConn.

You aren’t wrong, but that’s not the argument I was making. We had enough to win, this team proved that all year. But when shots aren’t falling, there’s no fail safe. We needed one last night.

If anything my argument is a compliment to how good the team was, despite the glaring weaknesses.
I understand but when the shots aren’t falling and you can’t finish at the rim on drives all that’s left is an L. I don’t care how good your D is. If you can’t score it’s over. Not a single player played well. That spells doom. There is no fail safe for that.

UConn has manhandled everyone in this tournament as a 4 seed in way maybe never seen before and you're still under the delusion that Canes BB is beating them 70% of the time? Wow. The better team won and convincingly. Canes ran into a buzzsaw and there's no shame in that. Stop pretending otherwise.
They beat a #13, #5, #8, a terrible over ranked #3 so give me a break with the buzzsaw bull****. They were playing well but until they played us I say BFD. We were the ******* buzzsaw. They were fortunate they caught us on a ****** night. I said 60 or 70. So maybe you say 50. Difference between the two is a game. Again I say BFD. If you say less than 5/10 you are full of ****.

I haven't listened yet, but he wouldn't be the first young person to overvalue his worth or ability. He isn't an NBA player. Not even close to being anything other than an end of bench guy. If that.

Wong isn't an NBA talent but he will be an All-Star in an overseas league and make a good living doing it.

Yeah I do say that. I go to an average of 5 Canes BB home games a year. Not as much as some season ticket holders, but more than 90% of this board safe to say. And I know when a team gets their *** kicked. You being a delusional homer doesn’t make you a better fan- it’s just makes you a whining sore loser that doesn’t understand basketball other than what he “hears” on sports talk radio.

No kidding.
Actually, I thought he did have an affect on this game.
If I’m calling out a player during my final 4 loss hangover, that means he did some good things (for UConn) to hurt us.

How am I whining? I said we played like ****. No excuses made. No blaming refs or players or coach. I don’t get it. Going to 5 games or all the games or no games has zero to do with anything. Why the name calling and aggressive crap? My main point was I don’t see any reason for any kind of big change to what Coach L is building. We were good enough to win with what we had. In my opinion we could win at least 6/10 games vs UConn. If we played tomorrow my money would be on us lighting their *** up. You obviously disagree and know way more about it because you went to 5 canes games. Had I known that I would have just shut my pie hole and just asked you how I should look at the situation.

I've watched a lot of UConn this year. Guess my point was, he's had many games where he was even better. A lot better.

You seem like a knowledgeable & reasonable fan! You have an awesome team this year and aside from some brief moments we didn’t have an answer for your size, length, & D tenacity. We definitely didn’t play our best but I attribute most of that to your play. I have no rooting interest in the title game besides the fact that if you win & by more than 13 we can say we played the champions closer than anyone in the tournament. So good luck, imho you’re welcome here anytime.
Thank you, Biltmore. I appreciate you. You guys had a great run. In the end, you can't teach size. Having watched Miami play its other tournament games this year, your play vs. UConn was not representative of your typical quality of play. You had a tougher road to the final 4 than UConn did. You beat some very good teams along the way, particularly in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games. It sucks to come up on the short end of winning, but the loss doesn't tarnish your wonderful season. At the beginning of the season, I'm not sure many Miami fans predicted they'd be in the final four. Great chatting pre and post game. The fans on your board seem pretty rational and cool to visitors.

couldnt change my flight so im going to the title game tonight. will be a cool exp (i met a lot of fans saturday who were there just to be at the final four to watch hoops). well see how long i stay tonight depending on how big of a blowout it is

for saturday, it was an awesome crowd. we out numbered UCONN fans from my POV esp our students. FAU fans showed up for sure as well (that game was absolutely awesome). ours was a bit of a let down with how little intrigue there was for the most part but im still glad we got to watch the canes in the final four. uconn was just too big and we didnt have an answer for their answers.
